    The music was HORRIFYING.

On the whole though, it had good character acting. I was particularly impressed with Rorschach.

I totally agree with that. But I'm a sucker for anything even slightly 'film noir' so...

The only music that was out of place for me was the sex scene music. At least, that's the only time that I really noticed the music.

The gore didn't surprise me at all if you consider the author and the director.

oops yah I forgot that this isn't CT...guess I can't speak of the movie on more sophisticated terms or else I will very danger

P.S. - I'm using the film as the focus of a philosophy essay, which might explain my post

That's fair enough, though of course the gore seen in a graphic novel isn't quite the same as what we see on the big screen. Realistic (to an extent) depiction tends to leave a more vivid impression, which is why cartoons/anime/etc. are able to get away with a lot more than movies and mainstream television.

I think the all-time worst part was when Hallelujah came on. I love some of the covers of that song, in particular Jeff Buckley's, but the original Leonard Cohen version is just baffling in how soulless it feels when he's singing solo.

And in regards to the film's violence, I thought Sin City (which I LOVED) was far more ridiculously brutal, and it fit perfectly.

The song choices came from the graphic novel, which listed lyrics in the back of each issue.

I loved it. It was everything I wanted, and more.

            I gave it a 10.

That doesn't make those song choices good choices for a movie.

it gets better as i think about it more but i didn't like it.

kinda weird pacing, some bad acting, rofl sex scene.

etc. most problems are ones stated before.

Never said it did. I was just pointing out to everyone else that they weren't arbitrary choices, that they were very much deliberate and intentional.

Being said, I didn't really notice any as particularly out of place, even Hallelujah, although I can see how it would be distracting.

i did not like it. it didnt seem to have much of a plot and the sex scenes were over the top. i went with a group of about 20 people and we all thought the same thing - it just wasnt that good.

I personally didn't like it at all. I understood it and could see all the symbolism, but overall it wasn't enjoyable. It had it's moments, but at best I would give it a 4/10. I could understand liking it or loving it if you're a fan of the graphic novel but I'm not =/

I really liked it, the music wasn't that bad imo. The only wtf moments for me occurred when the guy's arms got cut off and when the random inmate was set on fire for no reason o_O he almost looked happy to be on fire too...

                              There's my review.
It was boring, lengthy, and had atrocious song choice. There was close to 0 action for a ****ing super hero movie. If you like misplaced sex scenes and staring at some blue guy's dick, go for it. It was too sappy and pretentious for me. Sorry. 2 and a half hours of ****.

it may have been better if the people having sex were better looking
Thats what everybody says. First its not a super hero movie there regular people the closest person to a super hero was Mr Manhattan. Yea i'll admit that the song were kinda of weird but thats what gave the movie its mood. They could of took the sex scenes out. But i dont thick it was that bad.
Did you read the graphic novel first?
