Lol fruits basket? I took my "friend's" copy of fruit basket.
After I read it, I ripped out every single page, and then dropped the spine of the book onto my "friend's" desk.
Death Note is a very interesting manga. I don't usually read the manga though, I usually watch the anime...
Please tell me you, at the very least, got slapped for that. It's a good, touching series. If it doesn't appeal to you, put it down. Destruction of property is really not the way to go to disagree with a person's tastes.

Monster by Naoki Urasawa.
I need to read this sometime in the near future. I could not put down (figuratively speaking) 20th Century Boys. Do you know how Monster compares to it?

I am also known as TheDarkNerd, if that makes any difference.
I will forever claim Negima as the best manga. It just has kept me addicted throughout and there are so many good characters. I think the large cast of characters keeps things fresh.
Mushishi is another good one.

Sailor Moon is amazing as well, although it might take at least 5 times reading all the volumes over to really get the story. The manga went out of print a couple of years ago though. >_>

Fruits Basket probably, because it's so original and it's a complete mix of a lot of manga genres. Like drama, comedy, romance and fantasy.
I really like Death Note too^^
