    Re: Cloverfield

People who hated the ending just don't get the point of the movie. Everything is not supposed to be explained to you and its not all about the ****ing monster. Its about the people and what they experienced. It also had a lot to do with the personal issues the characters were having and how this event effected them.

Of course the movie is going to end whenever the camera is unfuctional. I like it when movies leave the viewer to interpret things for themselves.

      Re: Cloverfield

I think a lot of people complain that the ending sucked because they (spoiler) didn't get out. But you see it coming anyway, because it says that the film is found in Central Park.

But that's why I liked it. It leaves you so disappointed, because you pray that they just might (spoiler) make it out alive even though you know it's not possible.

The movie was amazing. The ending was perfect. I just wish that the "Secret Message" also came with some video so we could see something instead of just hearing some mumbo jumbo.

Coolest part of the movie was when the girl exploded. I don't get what happened but it was still cool as ****.

I do, too, but they could've at least added some more footage.

Wow. It must've been a great movie to a lot of people. Many people here forget how to write.

This movie actually got my attention, kept it all the way through, and I actually enjoyed the movie(something that does not happen often). Some parts were pretty unrealistic, and some parts were slightly unfathomable, but overall, good movie. Those that hated the ending, there was really no other way to end it...it fit the movie.

First movie I actually enjoyed watching in a long while,

Her stomach area exploded. If you saw the soldier being carted away when they first arrive at the barrack place, you can see that his midsection has been completely blown open. The spider things didn't tear it open - the bites eventually make something in your midsection explode (like your appendix can explode, but ten times worse). But yeah, that part was sooooo depressing. I liked how Cloverfield could get you feeling so depressed, yet not teary-eyed.

I mean, clearly, you do. And if they added more footage, what would you have wanted? Everything clear cut? A simple explanation?

The movie overestimated the intelligence of the audience that would be seeing it. I had a feeling going in that no questions would be answered about the monster - why would they? Why would a few partygoers be interested in finding the origins of the beast? To have them try and find information would be insulting, because that's not how people act. And to have them come across the information as happenstance would have actually spit in the face of the average movie-goer.

That movie finished nicely. They had done all they could do with the characters and with the action. The unexpected cutout ended the movie with a little surprise.

                      It was a good ending.

If Rob is indeed alive I wonder if there will ever be like some update on his myspace or something. That is if he would ever want to log onto there again. I doubt it but it would be interesting.

Also its quite possible Lily survived as well.
