I thought it was pretty damn great. Almost entirely a one man show by Cusack, with enough mounting tension.
My favorite subtle moment is when the picture of the boat is crooked.
And then he straightens it.
And then the lights are all crooked.
"A new take on the epic fantasy genre... Darkly comic, relatable characters... twisted storyline."
"Readers who prefer tension and romance, Maledictions: The Offering, delivers... As serious YA fiction, I’ll give it five stars out of five. As a novel? Four and a half." - Liz Ellor
AGH, I loved this movie. Along with every aspect of it, it was just enjoyable the entire time. And for the MOST part, it wasn't too predictable, which is always a must for horror/suspense movies.
i loved it.
my friends were all clinging onto each other almost throughout the whole thing.
it was so creepy when the people from the past were jumping out the window
and the scene with his daughter. wow.
kinda SPOILER but not really..
was Samuel L Jackson controlling all the things in the room? the end kinda left that hanging a little. with him saying like "well done.." and such. but yeah.

now i saw this on a date and wasn't really analyzing the movie to find subtle things and that may have had an effect on my perception of the movies ****tyness, but i thought it sucked. wasn't frightening, but that one twist was good (the major one). don't get me wrong, cusack's acting was great, it was just the dull plot that made the movie boring for me.
There was no plot. It was a guy in a room for an hour while the walls bled and then it rained and he froze and stuff.
It was meant to unsettle, and it unsettled me pretty well.

it was a pretty sweet movie, it acually had me thinking.im really glad it didnt end when he woke up in the hospital like i thought it was goign to, movies that end out in the whole thing being a dream suck lol
pretty decent, the best part was when cusack looked at the hotel map on the door, and it was just his room and this one guy in the theater busts out laughing really loud
