Which is better? Mp3 files or OGG files? I personally hate OGG files and love Mp3 files, actually i pretty much hate all other music files other than Mp3, though wav files are okay, they just take up a rediculous ammount of space.

Re: Which is better?
Personally, I prefer mp3 just because it is universal.
For listening music, at least.Comment

Re: Which is better?
yeah i was just wondering cuz some people actually use ogg files in their simfile uploads. it annoys the crap out of me cuz one of the reasons i download simfiles is to be able to listen to the music.

Re: Which is better?
OGG = better quality, less space.
It's the superior format. However, having to download plug-ins for all my music applications to listen to OGG files was a pain in the neck. I rip everything in MP3 format because of that reason, but that reason alone. I have as much space taken on my hard-drive as people with 5 times the amount of songs I do, though, because I keep them in rather high quality because lossless = the lose.
Really, I'd listen to everything in FLAC format if it wasn't so damned hard to find plug-ins for the format.SIG PICTURES:

Re: Which is better?
Laharl: Just use foobar2000... it supports FLAC, OGG, MP3, etc. by default. foobar is by FAR the best audio program - it completely destroys every other audio player by a wide margin. http://www.foobar2000.org
Anyway, OGG is by far the superior format when compared to MP3. Smaller filesize for the same or superior quality audio. The only reason it's not used as much is because people are too used to MP3...Comment
