because anime has fillers and takes to long. also they do they same thing for one episode and never get anything done. manga gets to the point and is intense

Fillers aren't there for entertainment. They're there for making sure the anime doesn't catch up to the manga so there are...FILLERS!!! =O, it's a system.
Manga: faster to read, easy to go back and re-read in case you missed something, and easy to obtain.
Anime: more interesting, better display of high-intensity scenes, and it has songs corresponding to the show in the beginning and end, which are usually awesome.
In the end, most anime is a direct representation of the manga it is based on. Some deviate, and they suck when they do, but there are also animes that far outclass the manga that they're based on like One Piece.

Everything comes back to One Piece...I'm reading it as far as the Shonen Jump has gotten, it's just introduced Luffy's older brother...
So I watched an episode of Naruto for the first time...
I thought it was lame. I don't get what all the hype is about. The writing is garbage. It reminds me of Dragonball Z, but it's not as funny when the writing is retarded.
The thing that kept bothering me was that they kept screaming at each other even though they weren't mad and they were standing right next to each other. Why all the yelling?
People who claim this to be the best anime out there are out of their minds. Go watch Fooly Cooly, which although probably not the best anime out there is eons better than this bilge. I'm not trying to insult anybody's taste, but I just don't get why it's so popular.

Reason: spelling...
Fine, take my words with a grain of salt then. I didn't think I said anything that couldn't be gleaned from one episode. I didn't talk about the characters, the storyline, or anything I'd need more information to talk about. Perhaps the "the writing is garbage" line was too harsh, but really good animes draw you in immediately.
I don't remember what it was called. Naruto, Sasuke, some other ninja dude, and Idate (?) were on a boat. Some random dudes show up and shoot fire arrows at it and it went up in flames. The chick tore the mast off the boat and smacked like 5 evil dudes with it, whereupon they turned into smoke. There was a 5 minute bit about how Idate doesn't trust ninjas due to some beef with his brother, and there was a bunch of trust issues being beaten over the head, then they swam off toward an island. That was it.
But you would of understood some stuff if you had followed the series. I don't expect you to do that. However, if you watch a random episode, you may not understand some things that are happening. You must of known that.
Not a really good episode to sell the series but whatever, it was quite a bit into the show. In the middle of a saga, one of Narutos worst one.
If you want to Judge the anime of that one episode then ok. To be honest though I think you really need to watch the first series and second series to get a good grasp on the show. After that, it's up and down up and down. There's filler, lots of crap, then an amazing fight. Most people will tell you Naruto started of really good but just slowly went downhill.
Out of like the what, 400 odd episodes of the both Narutos put together lol, theres been about 8 or 9 amazing fights, which is quite sad, and a little more memorable moments. Seriously though, some of the fights in Naruto are probably the best fight scenes I've ever seen in any anime.
I used to watch the show as I loved the story, the animation, the music and the fights. Now, the story side doesn't interest me anymore, the music has changed for the worse, so far in Shippuuden there's been 5 minutes of beautiful animation and 5 minutes worth of a good fight.
Now when the series first started, I loved it. I would of rated it 9/10, However now I would rate it 5/10. The only reason I'm still watching it is because I liked some of the fights so much, I'm hoping I'll see more and when they bother, they can animate things spectacularly. The next episode looks very promising. If it's not I'll consider it the last straw and stop. I've given the show a lot of chances and if they mess this last one up then I'll stop watching it. I was going to go to 60 and if the show never got better I'd stop then. It's just they built up this coming episode so much now it it fails I will be angry.
It's more or less two of the most powerful Ninjas about to square off. So I am excited. That's why if it fails I'll be too angry to keep the 60 episode promise and just stop it right there.
