I wasn't trying to be funny, its just a retarded show to begin with, its the new ****ty anime of the 2000's, it was dragonballZ in the 90's and this is the new retarded "american" anime that all retarded people like to watch, so even if its subbed its still a piece of ****. Naruto? Let's see...I'd take reading the manga over going through tons and tons of filler episodes any day of the week. That being said, I find Naruto decent at best.

Dubs ruin shows 99% of the time. Not just because Americans suck at voice acting, but also because the shows are aimed to kids way too young for the original version and they become fanboys and ruin the fanbase of the show by spamming up Internet message boards proclaiming that it is the greatest show in existance without any basis in reality whatsoever.

That's why I hate Naruto.

jellygod, seriously. We made this thread to appease people like you who hate everything related to Naruto. If you are not a fan of Naruto, you can choose not to read this thread. The only time I read it is when someone like you comes trolling along and a post is reported. Even then I only read the ensuing argument.

Going on topic. I don't think I'll ever watch the 80 odd episodes I skipped to Naruto Shiputhingy. Looking back on it now I'd say I enjoyed about 40% of Naruto. I won't lie, I enjoyed the 40% a lot. Although I haven't got the time or patience to sit through 80 odd fillers.

If had to give Naruto a mark out of 10. I'd say 6/10. There was a lot going for the show but it was severely let down by fillers and annoying plotwist/character paths. The fights (Some of them anyway, oh and they were animated brilliantly I say) and music where what kept me hanging on to it till, like I said, 80 episodes before the end.

Yeah, Shounen anime is cool...if you are a 12-year-old boy.

Shounen anime is geared toward 12-15 year-olds in Japan.

The way I've always looked at it goes as such: the main character of the show is to be the same age as those for whom the creator intended it to be viewed.

Naruto is 12. Therefore, Naruto is for 12 year-olds.

My theory fails in a few places though. Luffy from One Piece is 18, but the show is geared toward a younger teenage audience. Although, a lot of the themes are quite mature, so I wouldn't be surprised if the original audience intention was 18+. At least for America... before they bastardized it.
