Well there's definately the reaction time thing, but considering one would think he'd have phased out as soon as he saw the gun (unless he was shocked, or thinking it was an idle threat - like who would actually kill a person for punching them), it's possible that he can't control phasing through very small and/or fast moving things like bullets - a punch is pretty fast, and somewhat small though.

Yeah I was very much confused by that part as well. Not only that, but he didn't even know the guy.

You're saying that Bob and his henchie were in on it? I highly doubt that, since Bob talked to other people about how Adam was a bad person, and was locked up (unless maybe he wants to pit them against Peter and Adam, but seems unlikely to me, personally).

I also have one comment about the episode I noticed. When Peter wakes up after being shocked at the hospital, he is jolted by the blond haired woman, but when peter tries to use his powers, they are suppressed. Her ability should have been supressed as well.

Also, when it comes to one of the first episodes of the second season (I'm guessing the second one), what do you think the goals/affiliation of that illusionist woman was? This may have already been discussed in this topic, but I wasn't following it.

Bob worked for Adam for years. I'd say it's highly possible that they're still in cahoots. You know how some of the original 12 were faithful to the organization and some weren't, right? Like how Linderman and Angela Pettrelli wanted the "bomb" in NYC to go off while Kaito Nakamura and Charles Deveaux did not. It's possible Adam was pro-bomb and even came up with the idea of it. I'd say it's very likely that Bob was in on it as well.

I think the Haitian can control whose powers he cancels out. I don't think he just broadcasts his cancellation abilities.

As for Candice's goals, I'm thinking she was working with the Company to bring in someone who also had a multitude of abilities for experimental purposes. It's weird that they didn't experiment with Peter, but I guess they figured he was unstable.

          Re: Heroes

I was thinking about this on Sunday, but I didn't post. Now I'm trying to remember what all I thought...

Hm. Matt inherited his dad's power, but how come no one else inherited their parents' powers? And about his dad's power... Molly fainted when she was being controlled by him. And when they were in the nightmare Molly was kept in, they all saw each other. But when Nathan and Matt fought in a nightmare, they were seeing someone else, and they were conscious. That sounds more like something Candice could do. (She had a cool power. Too bad Sylar offed her. Don't miss her as much as Charlie, though.)

Hm... what else... Oh. Adam... there was that article about the snow. He did that, right? And he could have made a tsunami, or whatever Bob said... So, he can control weather and spontaneously generate? That seems like two completely unrelated things, so it seems unlikely one power would sprout from the other. And he never manipulated the weather in feudal Japan, so...?

Can't think of any other questions I had a few days ago. Here's some more that just sprung up, though: in the preview for the next episode, when it mentioned a "battle" (once again, or whatever was said), it showed Noah and Mohinder... I think the swordfight between Hiro and Adam would be more of a "battle", but... eh, we'll see what happens. Guess that part just won't be as epic as hoped.

How exactly does Alejandro's healing work? It just seems odd that in the present, he heals everyone that Maya kills, yet everyone at his wedding party and that cop died. Is that just another one of those power developments?

The twist on Nikki's power is interesting. So she is her twin and also her alternate identity? Might that mean that she can be anyone who she "creates"? Are her alternate identities always going to want to control her? It seems unfair that her power is more of an impediment.

Uhm, yeah. Hope next week's episode will be good.

            Re: Heroes

A lot of people mis-heard Bob's talk about Adam.

The organization did those things. That just means one person within that group of 12 had the capability of weather control, or maybe just something like Sylar's snow power (he did get it from someone).

              Re: Heroes

The only thing keeping me going for volume 2 right now is Adam. He's the best new character so far. Sylar should go kill the other new ones, like soon.

What I really want to see is someone who has the same power as Peter, except with 30+ years of experience. The thought of it is pretty cool.

He didn't know he could heal her. Not only that he didn't even calm her down. In fact she ran away quite quickly after they just talked a bit, that's why no one was ressed.

Don't highlight the text below unless you saw the preview for next week's episode:

If Adam really is the one that's behind the killings of the twelve people in the photo, and he is the one that killed Kaito Nakamura, then Hiro going back and running into Adam while to trying save his father is going to be inarguably one of the best episodes of the Volume, and probably the series. I can't wait to see what happens.

To reply to Wilkin's hidden text with something that isn't a spoiler:

The picture with Hiro fighting Kensei / Adam has Hiro wearing glasses. Hiro kept his glasses off when he was in the past. Therefore, it's either a continuity error or a purposeful indication that it has yet to happen.

                      Re: Heroes

On the subject of Peter being able to remember everything after the Haitian blocked it all out: When Linderman healed Nathan's wife, they made a big dramatic moment out of him touching her, lasting longer than the shot normally would. They did the same thing when Angela touched Peter's arm in the future, and he remembered everything soon after. Seems like quite the coincidence.

And apparently four months in a hospital ruins your political career. Whoops.

You guys are all missing the most important part of this episode.

Nathan's new power to grow the swarthiest beard ever in a matter of 3 weeks. My god.

Also I'm hoping for Adam instead of being just a straight up bad guy, if he turns out to be murky gray at best.

Edit: Psh I didn't read the last page carefully enough. Wilkin pointed out. Still.

I hear the actor is actually half iraqi or something so he could grow a beard in 6 hours if he wanted too.

I also wonder how everyone knew about the "bomb" in the first place. Not sure if that was ever clarified.

Does anyone actually know if Adam is one of The Twelve? Because everyone's supposed to be in that picture, pretty recognizably from what they show, but if Adam was a part of them, one would assume it was before they "locked" him up for thirty years, though they don't look thirty years younger. Of course, they could have just been referring to Maury when talking about one of themselves killing the others. Maybe I just need to rewatch the Volume.

Adam was the leader. I think he was excluded because of a plot spoiler, honestly. I wouldn't put it past the Volume 2 writers to do it like that.

Kaito's power is to make stupid decisions and do meaningless things, then die.

All we know of the 12 (13) is that Bob can transmute gold, Linderman can heal, Maury can mess with people's heads, Deveaux can do something about dreams and such, and Adam can heal himself. 5/13 we know, which means pick someone of the remaining 8 and that person can mess with the weather, or just make snow (a la Sylar's snow power). I don't think it's Angela since she looks like she has something like persuasion or whatever.
