Re: Heroes
What if Adam doesn't even remember Hiro?
Peter lost his memory after he exploded, seeing as he was in perfect health in the video Bob showed Mohinder, one would assume he would try to contact someone in that time (unless there was some complication with the Company). How he might've "lost" it again I have no idea.
After Adam blew up as well, it's possible that he also would've lost his memory after the fact.
Plus, I like how everything Hiro knew, up to the last Kensei story, never actually existed in history without Hiro.
EDIT: Also, Peter never tried to come back from 2008. Even though he can't control all his powers, it would definitely require some sort of concentration. Just like Parkman managed to use his power in different ways, maybe someone sent Peter to and from 2008 somehow, though it would all point to Adam, as he was creepily waiting there for Peter.Last edited by Wilkin; 11-11-2007, 02:54 AM.l

Re: Heroes
Did anyone else notice that one of the painting was of Peter looking over all of the dead bodies in future New York.
I thought all of those paintings were supposed to be someone's death.Comment

Re: Heroes
@Wilkin: Adam remembers Hiro. Definitely.Originally posted by SqueekI got the chance to look at all the paintings in detail. In the order they're placed in the warehouse:
1) Claire dead on the steps. This already happened. It was the ploy used to make Debbie pay for her misdeeds.
2) A hand holding a vial. No idea, really. It could be the cure to the disease.
3) A person (looks like Niki) about to smash in a door.
4) A biohazard symbol on a painting with a shocked expression on a man who looks like Peter. Probably related to the insight into 2008 that he and Caitlin saw.
5) Hiro fighting Kensei in a sword duel. (6/8)
6) Mohinder crying as he fires a bullet at someone. (7/8)
7) Bennet shot in the face as Claire kisses a shadowed stranger. (8/8)
The history bit was altered when Hiro interfered with that guy on the battlefield. Hiro messed up history. It could be argued that Hiro was the true Kensei, but I doubt it. Something in history would've made Kensei understand that he was invincible and that he could do whatever he wanted. In this situation, it wouldn't be too hard to understand that with this superman attitude, he'd try to win over some cute girl by doing all these things to save her daddy.
Peter didn't know he could travel in time. He probably figured it was someone else's doing or an illusion of sorts, right up until he got sent back to 2007.Comment

I thought that they said that each painting would depict the death of one the original heroes, but these paintings are nonsensical (as you stated in your original post).
It will be interesting to see how they pan this together.Comment

Re: Heroes
Tim Kring apologized for the shoddy work in Season 2. It's apparent.
This episode was solid until about halfway through.
Seriously, what the crap. Why was D.L. able to phase through a punch to the head, but not a bullet? TWICE now. That's a completely illegitimate death for his character.
And still no explanation as to how Peter got D.L.'s ability. Sure, he was there at Kirby Plaza, but he never saw him use it.
Eh. I have this sneaking suspicion the jail cell was an act to get Adam on Peter's good side. It just seems stupid to me.Comment

Re: Heroes
I'm thinking the same thing about Adam.
D.L. phasing through the punch is good reaction time, I figure. He wouldn't have let the bullet from Linderman phase, since it would've hit Niki. Not sure about the second bullet, though. I'd think if you saw a gun pointed anywhere toward you, you'd turn phase mode on.
Plus, is it impossible for Peter to get the Haitian's power, since he blocked Peter's powers? Maybe it's a selective thing, since Elle could still use her lighting next to him, and Peter could get if the blocking was on him.
On another note, since the Haitian has two powers (power blocking and memory "erasing"), it might be another example of power evolution, as in he was originally able to block memories (not erase permanently, since Peter was able to recover his), but expanded his power to be able to block other powers. It's an interesting thought.Last edited by Wilkin; 11-12-2007, 09:07 PM.l

Re: Heroes
I'm pissed about the way D.L. died, in case it weren't obvious. The hock for this episode was "D.L. makes the ultimate sacrifice." There was no sacrifice. He was killed in cold blood for absolutely no reason. Seriously. Who kills a guy who comes to take his wife home and has a photograph as proof of their relationship?
And it's pretty obvious to me that most of these people have instinctive abilities. That is to say, their abilities kick in during perilous situations. Proof of this is that Peter healed when he jumped off the school platform thing with Sylar back in season 1. He had no idea he could heal. His body did it on instinct.
Peter probably has The Haitian's power. Even though he's never once used it.
And uh, how did Peter un-forget, anyway? It doesn't make sense unless he has acquired some un-Haitian ability.Comment

Re: Heroes
What's this about only being 3 more episodes?
I assumed a season was 24-26 episodes, what happened?
In any case, he got his memories back because of the "spontaneous regeneration" ability. Adam said it himself, just remember something that was important to you. However, that seems very plot-holey. The SR ability is starting to be overpowered. Completely regenerate yourself, immortality, ability to heal those around you, and now, the ability to remember forgotten things.
By the way, this isn't the first time that D.L. was unable to get his power to work to avoid a hit. Remember when Jessica sent him flying into a wardrobe? Plus, it wouldn't be the first time that a power fails when needed, remember Hiro?

Re: Heroes
They think it'll end December 3rd because of the writer's strike. Also because Kring is unhappy with the way Volume 2 worked out. He wants to jump straight into Volume 3 after the halfway point in the season.
There's a difference between Volumes and Seasons.Comment

Re: Heroes
That writer's strike thing stinks. All of the shows I watch are being cut short, which includes Heroes (of course)[SIZE="6"]Are we human, or are we dancer?SIZE]
