The graphic novel confirms Claire's car was stolen by the guy in the Mexican prison. It was for a fraternity initiation. The initiation called for the stealing of certain objects around town, then meeting up at some rendezvous point in Mexico.
It wasn't Claire's fault, though. She was pulled out of her car by the cheerleading squad and wasn't able to grab her keys, so they were left on the seat. I'm betting she gets her car back somehow. Something to do with border patrol impounding it, then finding out it's registered in her name? Most likely.
Anyway, tonight we see who Peter got Lightning from. I guarantee it.
Edit: BAM. Called it. It's not following the graphic novels, though. Disappointing.

And man, Matt's dad... all signs point to him now. He had Bob's picture with the Helix. Normally, the target has the picture, not some random guy. If it's true, he killed Kaito mentally. The guy in the hoodie was just some part of his imagination.
