    Re: Heroes

My theory: The events of the first season of heroes, such as New York going up in flames from Peter, hasn't happened quite yet. From the 5 years later episodes then did from season one, I have a reason to believe that the chain of events hasn't come to yet. It shows Sylar killing Clair, giving him her indestructibleness.

And since the comic that Isaac drew shows Hiro stabbing Sylar, and the fact his paintings have all come true, must mean that it just hasn't happened yet. I still think that New York will exploded in either this season or the next.

      Re: Heroes

The whole show fell apart for me at the end of season 1 and the first 2 episodes of season 2. Never bothered watching again.

Oh and I can't be bothered to read 10 pages so

I didn't like Claire's new boyfriend until the "spa debacle" line. Now he's cool.

Maybe, but they made it look so recent. Then again, it could be just because Micah is making it sound that way. He's crying to see his father like it just happened when it really happened four months ago. =[

I don't think he's really dead. A gunshot wound to the kidney? That doesn't kill you. Parkman took four to his chest and he's fine.

I think it's an act, but I don't know why.

And Snowcrafta, your theory sucks. They did change the future. There's a bit of a plot hole involved though.

Future Hiro couldn't kill Future Sylar because he had Claire's abilities. Future Claire returned to existence only to die again. I guess the only thing that can be said is that Future Sylar is Present Sylar post-Kirby Plaza fight.

                Re: Heroes

What? That hardly makes sense? It's a possibility that the show could still head towards the glimpse of the future we saw. The future we saw shows that Claire was still alive and he stole her powers before he confronted Peter in the hallway. There are a lot of empty details that still need to be filled, but they were really flexible. The first major one has been explained. Even though Skylar was stabbed with a sword, he still managed to survive it having been nursed back to health by that illusion girl.

However, that's not to say I believe it. The writer of the story was not silly, he was trying to portray a message that the future is not set, why change it now?

If we were to use the "his paintings are always right" theory, my guess would be the pictures of destruction that we saw would be the things that present Hiro would see in his trip to the future. The only one picture that has been wrong up till now would be the explosion of New York, which was prevented. Another great thing to point out would be the painting that was most recently revealed to us where Mr. Bennet is dead and his daughter was kissing her boyfriend in the background. This clearly did not happen in the future Hiro visited because Mr. Bennet was alive and Claire had a different boyfriend. Perhaps this will be the second time the painted future can be changed.

like tsugomaru said, its possible for the heroes to change whatll happen in the future as portrayed by the paintings. new york didnt get destroyed. mr. bennet or someone is going to do something thatll prevent mr. bennet from dying.

That was an intense episode. Wow.

So far, the best one in Season Two.

I'm still curious to see what Mrs. Pettrelli's power is. Mr. Pettrelli doesn't have one (or didn't know about it in his thirties as that's where the graphic novels place him), but they're in the group. That must mean something.

Seems like the Parkman family has a focus on mental power as daddy Parkman also has something like what Matt has.

Oh, and the monkey-see-monkey-do power? That's awesome.

I remember someone saying something about the only duplicate power we've seen is Kensei's/Claire's, but is this a duplicate of the Abilene waitress's power? I don't think we have quite enough to go on yet, but it's something to consider.

                        Re: Heroes

I know Wikipedia isn't the top source on this, but they cite Charlie's ability as "Eidetic memory". People are calling Monica's ability "mimicry", "emulating", or the Wikipedia term "Photographic reflexes".

So far she can only do what she sees on television.

I should also mention that it's pretty obvious that this is totally unrelated to the Empathy that Peter has. Peter can borrow other people's abilities. Monica appears to be within the bounds of human limitations as of now. As an example, if she sees Nathan or West flying, she won't be able to fly.

PS - You missed Nathan / West.

PPS - The Graphic Novels are awesome, but they're starting to draw potential spoilers. If you don't want S2E5 spoiled, don't read chapter 54. It also hints at another ability pair, but with two people you don't even know yet.

                          Re: Heroes

So I had the free time to catch up on heroes. It seems as though the storyline is trying too hard to "surprise" the viewers making it all too predictable and sometimes ridiculous. I also found the script for the little psychic girl to be a little too mature for the character and it really made me cringe. What made me even more annoyed is the fact that they added a more obligatory teen high school social/love drama story with Claire.

EDIT: I wish they would actually use foreign language that is above middle school level 3:

so yea, the show is still good but it really lost it's greatness

Well, if Parkman has the same powers as his dad, he could potentially trap people in their thoughts in the future! Perhaps that's what happened and now, Parkman has to reverse it. Pretty neat.

Oh yeah, because Japanese is all the rage amongst American middle schoolers. Everyone knows it.

What, do you want a character to speak in clicks?

Seriously, it's an American TV show, the level of difficulty they use with foreign languages will not matter because we wouldn't understand it anyways.
