Good episode, but this series needs more Shiho and Irina. More Chie and Nao wouldn't hurt either.

Oh, and it also needs Mashiro to summon Kagutsuchi. Hopefully this will happen around the same time that Aoi transforms into the shadowy winged otome from the OP. Or maybe it will happen when Mai shows up around episode 13 for the subclimax.

And it sucks >_>

Well, at least compared to Dream Wing and Shining Days.

The full version of the Otome ED is the only song out of the HiME/Otome OP's/ED's (////) that I really listen to on a regular basis. <_<

The Otome ED is the best song from both of the series.

I fear that the battle music in Otome will completely and utterly fail to compare to that of HiME though. Already it seems more opera-ish and less Mezame-ish.

Well this is gonna complicate things. *EPISODE SPOILERS FOR 11* Mashiro is arranged to marry Akira, but you just know she's now gonna fall in love with Takumi. I wonder how the relationship between the former roommates will be in this series.

Wow... 12 was an great episode.

Lots of stuff happening now (not so much action, but plot and character development), with extra-interesting added depth for those who have seen Mai-HiME.

Well, episode 13 was not the sub-climax, although it looks like 14 or 15 will be. The way they ended the episode didn't seem quite as effective as blowing up a nearby bridge in terms of how cool it looked, but it still peaked my interest enough to make me want the next episode.
