Van Helsing---complete CRAP. Kate Beckinsale couldn't keep a dialect to save her life....Hugh Jackman wasn't doing a great job, either....(for another dialect screw up...watch Cameron Diaz in Gangs of New York...wow.) Another thing about this mound of feces in movie form is that all the stories of Dracula (or vampires in general), Frankenstein, and Dr. Jekyll/Mr. Hyde were combined to make some piece-of-expletive film about a supernatural bounty hunter. Bad. Very bad.

Matrix Revolutions---like Matrix Reloaded it blew major forms of anus. The movie moron twins should have stopped at the first one....anyone who casts Keanu Reeves in more than one movie on purpose should be shot. The End.

As for Lord of the Rings 3, 2 was better. Enough said. Man, I hate Liv Tyler...she has to be one of the ugliest women in cinema.

Shrek 2? Wow. Shrek wasn't even that good....but I guess it is okay for people with an IQ equal to that of a doorknob. Eddie Murphy as a donkey who never shuts up....who's idea was that, because someone needs to be put out of their misery.

I will say that X2 was pretty good. Nightcrawler was done exceptionally well, I thought. The scene at the beginning was amazing....the acting is sub-par, and the adaptation of the comic books isn't what I would like it to be....but I am not writing it, so I guess I can't complain. As far as sticking it with the "year's best" I would have to say no. It is just another action flick and excuse to show a woman naked. (Well....somewhat naked. She does have 8 hours of blue laytex paint work done on her body.)

Well, yeah. I also loved that first scene with Nightcrawler attacking the White House. That was cool. I also loved the break-in with the Stryker soldiers. I loved the parts with Wolverine and Colossus.
As for Shrek 2, I did enjoy it, but Shrek 4-D in Universal Studios completely SUCKED. I was disappointed.
Van Helsing...well, I've seen better vampire movies. I did like Richard Roxburgh's part of Dracula was good though. Kate Beckinsale...She was better as Selene in Underworld.
Matrix Revolutions, It was really good. I think the new oracle was awesome. The old one was good, but not as good.

I didn't like how they tried to give the new oracle a back story. I thought that was so stupid.
I didn't care much for Underworld either....but then again, I don't care much for vampire stories because they never seem to be told correctly.

Yeah, since Metallica is the best band in the universe and all. That makes me angry that there are people in this world that still find them to be a good band. No, I take that back....that EVER found them to be a good band. Sad. So sad.

I toally agree with boondock. Metallica blows. Not only does their music suck, but they are known as complete jackasses as well. Who wants to listen to crappy music played by guys who aren't even respected among other musicians? Yikes.

I just saw Collateral and it was actually really good. I liked the directed (though at first I thought it was cheesy and annoying). I would consider it one of the best of 2004. Worth a watch.
