I will just amaze some more I guess

    Part 14

its a bit technical... Some people might think it sucks... I kind of like what I did here... I did something 'special'. Even from my point of view. Its all about twitching 'knobs'...

    Part 15
This is more a part where the love for music falls into place... kind of. People will always 'discuss' on what I am doing... I don't care... I have my own ways on doing my thing

I love it, you should give Part 1-3 subtitles like you did with the other parts. There is definitely steppability and I also up-rated most songs (stupid 0-bombers), My 5.22 voting power came in handy.

btw Read what I wrote on Part #15

        Yo! I am back

@coolboyrulez, if you have any suggestions on BPM, either certain drums that could change, please! I am a Drum and Bass creator with a wheelchair. I only use certain bits and pieces as reference. I read things, and I use those comments as in my own productions. I also listened to Nubbins live cast to get my DnB productions a bit sorted out...

Personally, I am not a DnB fanatic... I only know the 'theory'. And I am probably not the best DnB producer. I marely touched the surface.

Anyways, because I have problems with a certain production right now, any feedback on this would be welcome right now... cause I am getting really stuck with it... I am even comming close to even press the big fat Delete button just to start with a new one.

        here's linky:

        Where did I go wrong?

Ow, and btw, I also have an attempt on a second track that still needs a mastering touch... But I will sort that out in a later stage:

        Remember this tune? lol!

I'm not to sure Nubbin is a good person to learn how to make Drum 'n Bass from, only because he doesn't really produce or listen to a huge quantity of it. I'm not knocking my boy, he makes sick stuff and I love him to death, but I just don't believe it's the best place to learn a foundation, as you end up taking concepts built from another style of music, and then apply back onto that without a firm understanding of why the original works so once you get the concept you learned across you run out of steam because you aren't entirely sure what to do next.

Does that make much sense? I feel like I entangled that sentence. It's harder to make a song complex using less, but that's what DnB is all about. That and flowing beats.

I put together a short mix of songs that yours reminded me of, and I think you will connect most to the last song, which is by London Elektricity, entitled Hanging Rock. The main emphasis of these is the smoothness of everything on top of the beat, and subtle variation for the breaks to keep the song flowing. I am hoping this will help in giving you an idea of how to structure the songs better since they speak better than I can ever describe.

It's not that long, just 6 songs. If you would like any of the songs unmixed, I can either send them to you or upload it somewhere. Here's the tracklisting:

          Method One - Northstar
          Motion - Elements of Truth
Calibre - Alone in a Crowd
The Ego and DJ Roots (featuring Ill Esha) - The Universe
          Logistics - Blackout
          London Elektricity - Hanging Rock

yeah as far as DNB goes, the best I can do is drums. The actual structure and synth design is a bit different than my style

by the way london elektricity <3

And i think he meant when I was doing my live shows on stickam, where I was "spinning" dnb not my own tracks.

Re: I feel productive. Time to share some music!

My current problem so far is probably, that I never wanted to cross the 0dB level, even while everything wasn't pre-amp. Usually I only have been using compressors and limiters to soften up the drums, never to spice them up.

What I have learned from nubbin might be a discussion point by itself (in my mind... and in my mind it goes like 001100100 101010 010011 010101 01). I think as logic in one big perspective. Crossing the 0dB level (even in the pre-compressed production) just means: dropping off... Having a solid string session going on, and one drum goes beyond the 0dB level (even before the final mix) I would notice this 'drop off' event on an instant.

Side compression techniques has been one side thought to even make use of this (something I personally even dislike... but don't quote me on that). Other then that, one thing I do now realize (comming from trance and techno) I do believe that DnB just works differently.

Most final mixes are pretty thight in DnB, not too messy, and pretty much straight forward. They mostly kill everything where most 'common' instruments would normally play... and thats where I think the bigger power lies with the whole drum and bass in general... but thats just the first glance I have seen so far while going more in depth with DnB.

My personal problem right now is probably, I like things messy... and at this point I will still keep things messy I guess... I am not a drum and bass artist (far from it). But then again, I like to touch new things... Maybe one of these days I would actually come up with a real DnB production that just really sounds 'good' for DnB.

For the time being... I can only say... I am a newbie on the DnB scene. Even I to know some of the basics (in theory)

              So, here's another linky

              Bite Me (Remixed version)
              Bite Me (Original version)

This was also a remixed version that has a Nubbin influence... and I simply thank him for pointing out something that I haven't realised.

So, if you don't mind, I will just be AFK and start hitting a sound engineer on his head with a set of beer bottles! (what a waste of good beer!)

Re: I feel productive. Time to share some music!

Party continues... posted 4 more songs, number 5 is already on its way and will be totally messy since most of these I have created recently just sound a bit 'empty'.

Ah well... Presses C 4 and sings a complete new song here are the 4 linkies

                The Safe Side
This is more a bit of a straight forward trance production. Hence the title of the song

                Devastation
This song was created after being killed many times by a dude called 'devastator'... Yah, original nick.

                Beltram
Beltram is a bassdrum comming from the reason factory soundbank. And what I basicly did was turning the beltram (which is originally a techno drum) into a short, low pitched, punchy drum and bass drum... which kind of worked well imho

                Tag your it
I will go nuts on the arpeggios connected to the drums in the start, but later on do my usually crazy stuff with creating lead sounds. Malstrom and Hyd is just one happy marriage!

You still didn't answer my question, are we allowed to step your works for FFR?
And if so could you hook me up with your favorite song/the one(s) you want me to step and their BPM? Thanks
