Head over to the Artist Permissions forum section for all the details on how you can get your music into the game.
You'll be able to ask for help, and hopefully find out if anyone is interested in immediately stepping your tunes.
If you are unsure on how to make a type of music, then listen to it as much as possible. I've actually seen books written on how to compose dance, and hip hop, etc. It struck me as overly unnecessary.
Yeah. just have to reiterate my previous point. Just listen to the music. I have a few DnB mixes I've done lying around here somewhere, too.

ok.. hook up your midi keyboard to a drum sequencer, and just stick in a bunch of random drum samples. Now put the bpm down to like 50 and hit record.
now...
MASH THE KEYBOARD LIKE YOUR LIFE DEPENDED ON IT!! and try to hit the same key a bunch of times in a row every once in a while.
Then when your done, speed the song up to 200 BPM, and you have a hit IDM track ..
haha all kidding aside, like the others said, just listen to ALOT of the music, and eventually with a bit of trial and error, you will figure it out.
I don't think there's really a defined way to make IDM rhythms, considering the term itself is so ridiculously vague as to what constitutes music as IDM. I wish I could reference you some names, but it's such a vast pool of different artists. If you want to try and ask anyone, consider rai. His percussion is so crunchy and organic, which is one of the main reasons his music is so entertaining to listen to, aside from the badass melodies and PHAT synths.
Download the VST plugin Glitch by dblue. Use it on drum loops and go nuts.
I don't think there honestly are tutorials for creating any specific genre of music. Just do whatever sounds good to you, even if that sounds super vague.
I love you long time forever for showing me this VST.
I don't understand what the difference between using a chopped drum loop and separate drum samples is. The way I think to really feel like a beat is not "fake" is to play it out yourself on a set of drums. I don't mind feeling that level of drum fakeness.
There is absolutely no difference. Since EVERY SINGLE drum hit you are using was played or created by someone else. Unless you're creating all your drum hits with a synth. You're using someone elses work.
