(LYK ZOMG 2 DAY BUMP!) Jimi Hendrix is SO overated its not even funny (same with Eddie/Slash). I picked Buckethead because he is one of the most original, talented huitarits ever. Yngwie Is pretty much the best guitarist in this day and age. Les owns all other bassists (don't even try to say Flea has skill). Neal Peart is Neal Peart. And High Voices are cool (as Displayed by Dragonforce)

whats with people putting jimi down. yes, of course it wasnt his actual skill, he is a decent player and all. it his sense and his style, and for that few people come close. period. i think alot of people dont feel it or somthing. but what is music if you cant feel it. i see apretiating a person because hes a pheonomanal player, but when it comes down to it, whos got that touch.

for me i would have Jimi Hendrix on the guitar and Niel Pert on drums. How could you not have Neil Pert he is one of the best drummer of all time.

See, Jimi Hendrix is heavily over-rated, but you have to agree that without him we wouldn't have half the sounds we do today. He's the most influential guitarist of all time, but that doesn't make him the best. BUT, to say that EVH or Herman Li, or Malmsteen are half as good is rediculous. Herman Li and Malmsteen are arrogant ****y little pricks with absolutely no feeling in their music. It's all technical bull****. EVH is good, and I think he's one of the best of all time, but to say he's above Hendrix is just horrid. Hendrix was one of his influences. Also, if you want high vocals I'd go with Davey Havok of AFI. It's not screeching, but it is high.
