Head over to the Artist Permissions forum section for all the details on how you can get your music into the game.
You'll be able to ask for help, and hopefully find out if anyone is interested in immediately stepping your tunes.
I like the Clash and the Beatsteaks, even though they are New Punk. I also listen to a lot of Ska-Punk like the Voodoo Glow Skulls and Slapstick and whatnot.
And any band post the 80's that claims to be punk is a lying sack of sh*t. Even 80's bands are pushing it.
Link 80 would be to your liking if you were into Slapstick. I think the album I have is called 18 problems or something, good stuff. It's hard and loud. I'll send you a song on AIM jewp. There was also the Rudiments and Out of Order. Come to the Spookster, I got it all!
Dead Kennedys, Bad Brains, Descendents, Clash, Bad Religion, Minor Threat and X. Yum.
The only one recently that tore up was AFI until they went off the deep end, and Anti-flag was all right, i guess. The early rancid was pretty hardcore too.. They went into some bizarre third wave spiral, though it was pretty cool stuff.
Op ivy started 3rd wave ska, but i'd say they are punk because of the message behind the music.
I have a lot of favorites but my #1 will always be NoFX as they rule.
Also love (in no particular order) Op Ivy/Rancid, The Clash, Stiff Little Fingers, Sex Pistols, Bad Religion, Refused, The International Noise Conspiracy (this is what Denis Lyxxen of Refused did after Refused broke up), Rise Against, Toadies, old Alk3, Green Day, and Blink182, Flogging Molly, Dropkick Murphys, The Bouncing Souls, Against Me!, Blood Brothers, Screeching Weasel, and I'm sure a lot more that I'm forgetting.
EDIT: ew I can't believe I contributed to this, OP is a jackass retard. Back in my day, being punk meant avoiding definition, but you spend the first page telling people what bands are and are not punk. There's always gray area, you effing moron.
