    Ableton Live 9

So I snagged myself a copy and I have never used Ableton before, but I do have 2 years experience with logic pro 9
Where can I find some good tutorials or where's a good place to start?

i'd just recommend becoming second nature with the GUI through lots of practice haha, it's not very beginner friendly but it's really effective if experienced with it

When these are downloaded, how do I insert them into Live?

You have to refresh your plug-in bank. Your own samples and vsts will show up in the left panel like all the Ableton natives, you just need to do some digging. You can make shortcuts to get to your folders more easily.

Good luck with Ableton, don't give up.

                  Ok two questions:
Do I have to move the actual folders outside of Live anywhere
                  and
How do I refresh my plugin bank?

                    1. No

                    2. Uhhhhhhhhh, you might actually not have to. Ableton may find your plugins itself. Hold on.

Ah, got it. You select your plug-in bank under preferences. ( http://www.oscillicious.com/support/...-ableton-live/ ) See if that helps.

If it doesn't: Options > Preferences > File Folder > under Plug-in source first hit "rescan" then make sure your plug-in database is linked to your 86/vstplugin folder. That's where all of your Native instruments and other things will save their DLL files to which will allow you to open them in Ableton.

You will then be able to find all your plug-ins under the "plug" button on the left:

My intuition says yes. I own Ableton, but I'm not much more familiar with it than you are. Google will probably help you out here more than I will.

I actually just found a really good drum tutorial http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3W2OasvWvEc
And I figured out how to use my own samples
So this marks a new journey into the world of Ableton
damn i should write a book about this

Now get familiar with keyboard shortcuts for sure, haha
They help loads with Live especially, compared to other sequencers
