    Jerks.

Nyokou you are a very talented artist. I might show some of my drawlings soon.

To people that are look at the picture with the chick with green hair, the ears are fine. If you look at the angle of the head with the body, it may look off, but other than that, the ears are entirely correct.

Thanks, it's fine. It does kinda look awkward.

      =/

      But I like it.

I think it's pretty damn good since I have barely touched oekaki in the past 3 years. xD

I thought that the first girl's pose was extremely strange looking, but since you've added the second girl it seems infinitely better.

Also... why does she look so pissed off?

Well, basically, the only thing I can say to not give away much information.. but, in the anime, Shion is a serial killer. >__>

And uh, I think I'll draw the other characters later. The next one will be Satoko Hojo.. I might draw her tomorrow I suppose, or on Saturday.

Anyway, here's something I kinda did.. on and off today.. since I've been watching a marathon on t.v. But uh, it's my sad attempt at realism on oekaki.

I think it's good, Nyokou, and I like the way you shaded it. Eyes and lips are a little off, but gee...you did really well, especially since it was on oekaki and you didn't draw it all at once. =]

Personally, I kinda fail at the very, VERY few attempts of realism (humans, I can do decent animals) that I've made over the years that I've drawn...
The people that can draw realism is just -wow- to me for some reason. And I like your realism style. It sounds like you don't work with it often...do you, if you don't mind me asking?

              Re: ひぐらしのなく頃に Tribute Drawings

I do work with it, a lot, to be honest, a whole lot more than anime.

Anime.. yeah.. this is probably the only time I really get to brush up on my skills of because it's just a no-no in my art class at school. =/ Like.. not acceptable, since it's not really art, it's.. more of like a comic/animation, etc.

Anyway.. uh, with oekaki.. not so great looking, but I can definitely make a bad ass realism drawing with paper and pencil, or oil pastels even. xD

                What program did you use?

                Looks nice BTW.

Work on the nose and mouth a bit it shouldn't be just a line.

                    Re: ひぐらしのなく頃に Tribute Drawings

Oh, I see, that's a good thing. I haven't seen many realist artists lately, and that saddens me.

Yeah, that makes complete sense. My art teacher always got mad at me when I drew in the manga style, which was only two times or so, but still. She strongly disapproved of it.

Kinda going off topic a little, but I think pencil-shaded realism is so pretty...but I imagine it would be hard as heck to do. If you're good at realism, there would definitely be jobs out there for you. =]

I didn't mention this before, but about your second drawing, I love the way you drew her sitting; her dress looks great, and it looks like she's not a complete skinny-mini. If that made any sense, I suck at wording things sometimes.

Good addition, but, I noticed that the backgrounds don't match if you were to put them together.

Well. Never mind. They aren't suppose to be put together. I now see that they are from different views. Nice job. =)

                        Re: ひぐらしのなく頃に Tribute Drawings

It's kinda supposed to be at a different angle.. >__>

Oddly enough if you stick them together, it looks like Shion's legs and hand fit perfectly, which is weird. =P But, I'm drawing the backgrounds based on their personalties, as well as the sky color, if that makes any sense.

And yeah, I've been thinking of getting into video game design to be honest. o__O Maybe the realism is good.. and I'm pretty good at drawing hands too. I had a pencil drawing of a hand that I drew in 7th grade.. and it was exhibited in two shows.. I might have it around somewhere..

                        And uh, I use oekaki.

ShAiOnEi, I don't understand which picture you're talking about.. I'm basically just dumping all my online artwork in here.. that I've been working on this week. xD
