I am still drawing fruit and this time it's an apple! I didn't use a reference image this time though and drew from memory. This is why the reflection is super basic but I think the color is true to what an apple would look like.

Looks good WV! I feel like it would be an interesting challenge to do an apple study with different types of lighting and reflections. Just going from memory tells me you’re starting to look at things the right way~

Someone asked me to do a pineapple next so that's going to be a fun challenge. Lots of texture and a lot more going on in general, we'll see how that turns out

I thought I'd give an avocado a try because I thought it would be easy. It was not easy. The textured skin is really fucking hard to do unless you draw a giant avocado which I did not do. The highlights are terrible but still turned out looking like an avocado so I'm happy

Also, creating colors you don't have by mixing colors is really fun but also really annoying when you can't get it just right. I didn't have the right greens for anything but I think I did alright. The inside of the avocado came out the best colorwise along with the seed.

Holy guacamole, it's so glossy. I love that. Your drawings are always so shiny and it makes them look extra fruity.

I decided to photoshop in a different shadow just to see how it looked

Yeah that softer shadow looks a lot better. I think maybe I should do the shadows in pencil or charcoal rather than black coloured pencil

DOODLE in progress. If its too "revealing" super sorry. Im pretty sure im riding the line on this one but I like to push limites without going over board. If its too showy ill remove it cause I dont want any troubles.
