I'm retarded with Photoshop so I can't get anywhere near those gfx. :s But I'll do my best. You can reject the graphics anyway, and I've got a lot of free time so no nothing lost in the end.

My stuff is nothing special, really. I usually look for vector stuff with google, pick something I like and add the song title on it. Sometimes I add some simple effects, but that's all I do. Nothing complicated and easy as hell

So people are asking for updates on this.
Literally all I need to get the pack out is decent graphics

I've made a few of my own, but it takes me a while. I'm really not that good at digital art, especially typography, but I'm slowly learning.
Is there any way to make this not pop out so much? IMO it's too sharp compared to the background, but the usual band-aid gaussian blur didn't really work...
A bit dull but it works. My first time using motion blur lol not too complicated but the effect is more finnicky than I thought to get looking good.

Someone who isn't terrible at typography please put the word "Phalanx" (and optionally the artist name) on this image in a cool way.

But I have a question.
I decided to tackle Oprah Shmup and I'm running into issues learning how to mask certain parts of an image.
How would I go about making the rocks around the face in the Gradius image be above Oprah, but have Oprah show up over the face itself?
Do I cut the rocks out of the first image then like, paste them over Oprah once I get her head in place?
Also, any tips on getting Oprah to look more NES-shooter-ish? She's a bit... shiny for the rest of the image lol
(Unless you think that contrast will add to the hilarity? idk)

I use GIMP unfortunately (2 broke for PS) so please keep that in mind.

At this point I'm offering 25,000 credits for banner and backgrounds for all five Super Smash Bros. songs. I'd really like someone to do a nice job with those.

I'm still not very experienced with making sm graphics, I gave the first three super smash bros songs a try anyways. If you are ok with how these are turning out (I'm open to suggestions if you want some things changed as well), I'll do the other two later on.

You spelled Airship incorrectly in the first banner.
The background image is excellent but the font is very weak. Hard to read and doesn't pop out much.
Not entirely sure about the little clip art planets either, but whatever XD

Angel Island Zone gfx are nice.
bmah wanted the artist name on the banner, maybe you could do that for him?

Ending Point gfx are the weakest. The bg image is a little plain but good, but the font is really... weird. And the red glow is kind of strange on the banner too.

Anyway that's my 2c
Honestly I'd use these three as they are- they're not too bad and I do want to get this pack out, but if you feel like improving on them I'd also be glad to wait.

Ehh it's optional, especially considering that none of the others have it. For consistency reasons I surely don't mind it as it is now.

Derped, that spelling error. >.< I'll try to make the font a bit stronger (perhaps adding a fill or something). I'll try to experiment with different borders also, I just happened to stumble across a planet brush set I had, lmfao.

I'm really happy with how the Angel Island Zone banner came out, simple yet very clean and appealing. I'll try to add the artist name to it as well.

Yeah, the Ending Point graphics is meh. The background is a bit -too- simple, I'll try adding some flare in there. And I think I did overkill it with the font including the effects and the red glow, I'll try to tone that down (the contrast with the very simple background is a bit of a eyesore now that I look at it.) I'll probably end up just doing this from scratch again, I wasn't very satisfied with this one.
