Tournaments are not just for clans, they are for individuals.
The winners will usually receive a prize in the form of credits / money / subscriptions to FFR. -

Generally, participants are grouped into categories according to skill level. This is determined by how many AAA's they have, how many FC's they have (and sometimes lazily what tokens you have)Comment

Keep an eye on the FFR Events and FFR R1 General Talk sections and check out the threads. Any tournaments that start up will say when they accept entrants from. Just say "in" and you're in the tournament. You can even enter multiple tournaments at once.Comment

Just remember to read the rules... some tournaments only allow people that have played a certain number of games first. Some tournaments are geared towards newbies / pros / whatever else. Read the first post before entering and if you meet all of the requirements (if any), then yeah, just post "I'm in" or something.Comment

In most tournaments, it's actually based off of level ranks, because they give a more accurate representation of your skill level.
It should be sometime in the spring, if I recall correctly.

I will have been Ninja'd several times before but I'm going to tell you my opinion on it:
Tournaments are a good way for you to compete with more inspiration to improve scores that you would despise to do otherwise.
Clan's fight just simply with i would think randoms tasks: Anti PA, Mashathon, Regular MP games and what not, just to see who's doing better.
What do clans get when they win? Glory and some pretty kick ass scores. (Maybe credits but hey, that's not what it's all about.)Comment
