OK, so I am new to this game and all, so I was blasting through the different songs. One of my instant favorites was the Legend of Zelda ReMiX. I told my friend about it and he said "Oh yea, by System of a Down." I was horribly confused. The song said it was by The Rabbit Joint. I'm not trying to make any degrading statements, but I did the research and I found a song with the same title, same words, same singer, etc. by System of a Down. I don't want the song gone, but I believe in credit where credit is due.
Hey ... that isn't the right artist??

That has been brought up so many times. now there have been roumors that both made the song, but it has been proven that rabbit joint made it.

from the FAQ:
I just wasn't sure how to or where to ask/tell you this. But I was told about this site so I was checking it out, I went to Arcade and the Legend of Zelda Song. I recognized the song... I am pretty sure that the song is by System of a Down... and the artist etc. says something else, so I could be wrong... but couldn't you guys get in trouble for using that song without permisson?
This has been debated for the longest time, almost two years now. The Legend of Zelda song has actually been out for quite some time. During that period, it is believed that Rabbit Joint is the true artist of the song. System of the Down has never admitted to performing the song and I can not find it on any of their album releases. I checked the band's discography and found no indication they performed the song:
Further investigation on the band's website uncovered this:
The post on the above thread indicates that
http://remix.overclocked.org/detailm...mixid=OCR00022
has concrete proof the song is in fact by The Rabbit Joint and not by SoaD. It seems to be the most conclusive evidence of this mystery.
Also, check here, which is actually how I first heard this song:
http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view.php?id=25945
A portion reads as follows:
"Addendum 04 [31.08.01]: *sigh* I AM NOT A MEMBER OF THE RABBIT JOINT. Furthermore, since I see no evidence that SOAD did the song, and since Joe [from Rabbit Joint] actually responded to the emails I sent, and SOAD didn't, I credited The Rabbit Joint. Also, since the song isn't mentioned on systemofadown.com, I took that as further indication I'm right. However.. I am still willing to change the credit to another band, a long as I am provided with INCONTROVERTABLE EVIDENCE that it was that band."
So unless evidence surfaces to counter the belief that The Rabbit Joint is the artist of the Legend of Zelda, all references to the song are credited to Rabbit Joint. It is most believed that the confusion came about when some idiot posted the song under SoaD on a P2P server.
Hope this clears a little confusion ^_^

my bad; I happened upon this site:
http://system-of-a-down.letras.mus.br/letras/39436/
it says: "This is actually by a band called The Rabbit Joint, not SOAD"
sorry!Comment

Don't worry. Lots of people make the mistake and it amuses me to no end when they think that because they found it on Napster as being by system of a down, they automatically believe that it is, and will defend that it is even though their only support is the title.Comment

The worst part of P2P is the realm of techno remixes of songs.
Idiots always name remixes as "Moby Remix", "Fatboy Slim Remix", or "Oakenfold Remix" even though it's quite clearly not (to anyone familiar with those artists) , and some techno newbie just assumed that must be it (because those three are the only remix artists in the world).Comment
