ive only played the guru songs to get a rank. i can pass it, but only by mashing. i rarely play guru songs because like greek said, i dont want to always rely on mashing to pass songs. im just sticking to the songs up to the master difficulty.

lol thatd be sick if i could actually do that. i cant even fc or aaa any FMO songs dammit! the closest i fced is sympathizer but i dont even consider that a FMO song, maybe a VC.

Hmmm, I'd try the doug31 strategy, Play songs that you can play without mashing, and then when you get better, move onto harder songs. This worked for me.

That's how I was. if there's a part you feel the need to mash [maybe a left down 24th trill] Just create your own steps on SM and practice them. Also, for me, I have this thing where I mess up at the same part on some songs. I found out that if you push the keys harder at that part, you can usually breeze right through it

what i hate is when in multiplayer a newb joins the room and for the last song says lets play a cool song and picks a FGO song. were practically both mashing and when i come out the winner the competitor says something like "O WOW YOURE GOOD" and all i did was mash better than him. this has happened many times.
