You have to use image tags and a hosting service. Find whatever pic you want, say it's at www.stuff.com (for example). You go to your profile and put in (without the spaces) [ img ] www.stuff.com [ / img ]. It should show up. Now, if you need hosting, there's numerous hosting services out there for free, but you can always use the FFR Gallery if need be.
