Hey there, the_unda_dogz!
The syntax is as follows:
C:\Program Files\StepMania CVS\Songs\PACKFOLDER\SONGFOLDER
PACKFOLDER is what shows you select before getting to the songs in StepMania ex. 'DDRMAX2', 'Dancing Wipeout', 'StepMix 1.0'
SONGFOLDER is where all the files for a given simfile are.
When you open a .rar file it will show a "..." folder, you can click on this to go up one folder level (ex. from "C:\Program Files" to "C:\"), usually you can just ignore this. If one other folder is listed it is the SONGFOLDER so you right click on that folder and "extract to" the "C:\Program Files\StepMania CVS\Songs\PACKFOLDER\"
If multiple files are listed you will need to create the SONGFOLDER yourself. When you click extract to you will follow the syntax above, and then add a name after the packfolder. This will create a folder with that name and this folder is the SONGFOLDER.

Lug: make sure it says: You are now connected to Multiplayer!
If it isn't connecting, then you're having firewall issues. Also, make sure you have the latest version of Flash. If after all that stuff, try using a different browser.

ckret: are you trying to use the arrow keys? if so, there shouldn't be a problem. if you're trying to use the numpad keys, make sure numlock is on. also, make sure you are actually within the .swf file... aka, CLICK on the button the play the song, then don't click on anything else... it should work. otherwise, it has gotta be an issue with your keyboard. do the arrow keys work for everything else?

No, it just says "make sure you have your login name ready".

I think it can be something with the firewalls, as ju just said. I'm on a schoolcomputer, and I can't change anything that's related to firewalls, virusprograms, or even install any programs at all.

I've tried in all different ways to update the Flashplugin, but it doesn't work.
I've tried to install Mozilla Firefox on the computer, but it doesn't work either.

Guess I'll just continue play singleplayermode 'til I've got ADSL at home. :/

Ok. Here is my question.

Is there any certain program that I will need to make a stepfile? Flourecent told me I have to make a number thing using 1,2,3,and 4 as the keys, Then give it to someone like a mod. or add. Then they will convert it into arrows.

Is that right????? If not tell me how!!! PLEAZE!!!!!

OK, I read through the first 8 pages and decided it was hopeless. I'm sorry if you've answered it more recently thatn that.

How do you get the stats in your sig?

I saw the link in the first couple pages, but it came up with no result. I've checked the source on people with it in their sigs, but apparently in the source bbcode translates to html, which as far as I can tell doesn't work in sigs.

THat's exactly what I've been trying.
It'll work for anyone else, but when I type in the URL of where my image should be, it is just a bunch of code.
