The idea is that it's an app where you move bits of equations around on the screen - and instead of having to remember and ensure you apply mathematical laws correctly, the program does it for you, letting you discover rules rather than needing to learn how to apply them first. It seems like a pretty cool idea given that maths is considered 'boring' but it's because of how it's taught, not because math is boring, and something like this could make math a lot more approachable.

The last Q&A practically read my mind regarding chemistry. Balancing equations (especially redox) can be rather tricky sometimes. This visual-tactile approach teaches stoichiometry in a brand new way: "Hmm, I don't have enough oxygen on this side, I'd better add more of it here" and you just drag it--and the math aspect will help a ton with dimensional analysis.
When you get into organic chemistry, this might even replace the need for a molecule-building kit, as fun as those are to play with. You can get into stuff like stereoisomers, structural configurations and 1,3 interactions relatively painlessly.Last edited by igotrhythm; 10-13-2012, 02:25 PM.Originally posted by thesunfanI literally spent 10 minutes in the library looking for the TWG forum on Smogon and couldn't find it what the fuck is this witchcraft IGR
