It's not really a matter of finding God. he is everywhere. Take to heart what the bible says on this matter. For instance Joshua 1:8 Which states: This book of the law should not depart from your mouth, and you must in an undertone read in it day and night, in order that you make take care to do according to all that is written it it; for then you will make your way successful and then you will act wisely. Of course this is talking abotu reading the bible daily. The bible is God's way of communicaating with us. You don't litterally talk to him. The bible is what makes our everyday life easier if we follow it closely. As he scripture brought out we will make our way successful. John 17:3 the same. Talking about gaining everlasting life. Something we all would like to have. How though? It brings out taking in knowledge. If we were to follow the commandments in the bible then we would have a much happier life. and the more we learn about God the closer we draw to him. Have any questions just ask.
Oh shit I want to post something funny, but it's a CT. Damn.
Anyway, I could start a religious debate, but I will just say that you don't have to wait for god. As long as you have the idea that god is with you, I don't think you have anything to worry about. Besides, who is your sister to say who is a true Christian and who isn't. Seriously? I thought that was against the "rules" or something. Like one of the sins or something.
Dunno.
Hope that makes you feel any better.

If you believe you found God, that's up to you.. not your sister. On the other hand, if you're doubting that you found God because of what your sister said, maybe she is right.
And also if you read Revelation 14:1. It talks about a selected number going to heaven being 144,000. And that they will rule as kings and priests. And the bible talks about other sheep which would be you and me that will inherit the earth. It's like the everywhere on the earth. Every last person you meet says your going to heaven. I've had many people say that. Including people who are not living their lives according to God. So not everyone will go to heaven. Psalms 37:9-11 talks about the meek ones inheriting the earth and the wicked ones will be cut off. So keep that into consideration.

It made it to the second page without becoming a trollfight because the thread wasn't really -about- anything religious, but instead asked "My sister said something I think is wrong, is it wrong?" To which the answer is "Yes it's wrong, but it doesn't belong in Critical Thinking.
