You can have your opinion ld. I know what it's like to bullshit a problem for attention. It's not so uncommon that some guy with a standardised degree can't come out and say it's a victimising mental disorder and have people like you beleive that that makes it real. I'm sticking with my convictions. (Oh and CAS is an IB reserved term that stands for "Creativity, Action, Service")

Haven't your read any of Foucault's work? Diseases of the mind are simply a social construction. What is insanity? What is the nature of mental disorder? It is a scenario in which a person does not behave as they "should" in society. Thus, people but a sort of biopolitical control over them, diagnosing them, saying that they are 'problems' that need to be 'solved.' All it does is function as a form of control-not necessarily even intentional-of the doctor over the patient. The doctor can say 'take these pills and you will live,' and thuse creates the power over life, or biopower.
I could, and should, go on, but I am quite certain that I have lost all or nearly all of you... it's too bad that the 'critical thinking' board is inhabited by so many who have not ever read a critique.Comment
