How is it hard to imagine we evolved from other life forms? Take a look at the fossil record. It dates back millions of years, but I suppose you think basic chemistry used to date fossils and rocks is fake too. Dating things is very simple and basic... earth is billions of years old. Man dates back to ~1.6 million years ago. Fossils prove it.

Evolution did happen, whether you like it or not, Chocaholic. I'm not saying that I'm against God, but there's just too much obvious proof that we evolved. God might've started life to begin with, but we evolved by our own will.

      edit: Just an FYI:

From what I last interpreted, this was our evolutionary path.

Bacteria>Invertebrate sea creatures>(Somewhere along here, we grow a spinal column)Reptiles that can breathe oxygen>Reptiles start to grow fur>Shrew-like creatures>Primates>Human.

An answer to a question that I hadn't known for 14 years: How does evolution occur? According to Dr. Sagan, a group of animals are either isolated or isolate each other and breed. They gradually change until their appearance and behavior are quite different.

Because beleiving something that has a lot less foundation is much more logical, isn't it?

that is sooo dumb. how can you believe something (humans) this great and complex came from bacteria?

You are suuuuch a dumbass. How can you not understand that as our world changed, we changed as well?

            Atoms>Prokaryote cells>Organisms>More complex organisms>

If you follow the ****ing timeline, you'll see how we evolved.

Here, I'll even dig through my science book and post some summaries of sections.

Chocaholic, do you read what people post or just see evolution and drop down to the quick reply box?

It's the basic principle of evolution. If you can't even understand this, no wonder you're not able think outside of the "Genesis" box.

                    Re: Ken Ham through Genises

Chocoholic, why don't you try providing extra basis for your own theory, instead of just saying how terrible OUR theories are?

                    That would work better.

Tell us something that is good evidence for the Genesis account. I'm sick of hearing "omg u rly think we're monkies lololol". You obviously don't understand the theory, but I'm willing to bet you understand the Genesis account better than most of us do. So do what you're best at. Tell us what we don't know.

                      Re: Ken Ham through Genises

Chocaholic can go ahead and pretend like he believes that we didn't evolve from lower life-forms and live

                      his life through self-deception.

Sorry if this took so long. I was typing this, watching TV, and eating grapes at the same time.

                      PRENTICE HALL'S PREHISTORIC TIMELINES

History of our lithosphere. I'm sure there are multiple different explanations of different parts

of this timeline. The effects it had on the planet were similar, though.

Pre-Earth - Earth was still building up. A series of collisions from objects as large as Mars managed to

                      heat our entire planet.

4.6 Billion years ago - When it finally formed a definite shape, our planet was virtually covered in

                      volcanic activity.

4 bya - Although we eventually cooled down to solidify, Earth was still extremely hot, and was covered

with many "softspots" - areas with lots of molten lava and volcanoes. No oceans yet.

3.8 bya - Earth began to cool down, rain brought much water to our planet, and oceans finally formed. The

water was brown, however, due to high iron content. Eventually, sediment started to fill the oceans and

many of those sediments are found in the ocean today.

The biological timeline. This one is sort of straightforward, mostly including the contents I

explained about evolution. Many of the uncharted dates occured during Pre-Cambrian time - roughly 640-544

                      mya.

Pre-life - The date wasn't listed, but "microspheres" - huge balls of biotic material that had plasma

membranes and were able to store and release
energy - began to form. They started to appear more and more like cells.

2.2 bya - Organisms began releasing oxygen as a waste product. This might explain the heavy iron content

in the ocean and eventually oxygen filling our atmosphere.

Uncharted date - Simple forms of bacteria (prokaryotes) similar to those today began to prosper.

Uncharted date - Eukaryotes began to appear, and something marvelous began to happen: Aerobic bacteria and

Photosynthetic bacteria began to enter the cell, and neither cell nor bacteria were harmed. The cells

worked together, changed to better suit the cell's processes, and formed organelles.

Uncharted date - shortly after Eukaryotes forming, sexual reproduction became possible. It allowed for

more genetic variations and less gene faults. This also helped with natural selection.

Uncharted date - A few mya after sexual reproduction, multicellular organisms began to form.

Paleozoic Era - 544-245 mya. Virtually all life was underwater.

Cambrian period - Organisms began to host skeletons. Trilobites, clam-like organisms and much others began to form. Still no vertebrates.

You know what? I'm not going to finish this entire thing, but I will say this: We actually have proof that evolution, mass extinction, and cosmic activities occured. I'm not saying that the stuff in the Bible didn't happen, but any human being can lie and get away with it without proof. You need to prove that the entire Earth was flooded and that humans just came out of thin air. You can't get all your proof from a book over centuries old with no evidence to back up their claims. We, however, have little less than 5 billion years to prove ourselves.
