    The thread of critical over-thinking.

I will make a comment about something, and ya'll discuss on the topic. I will see the overall turn this discussion will take. Only one post per person, unelss countered by someone, then you can strike against that same person. I will change the topic regularlly.

Let is talk about who found america. Was it really Columbus, was it an indian, or maybe some russian who found it, but decided to leave it?

Native Americans are native to America. Indians are native to India. Just because Columbus made a mistake, I don't see why we all have to. I still don't really understand why that has caught on so much.

Except that Native Americans came over on the land bridge that used to connect what is now Russia to what is now Alaska.

          In short: Russians discovered America.

Well, no, technically they didn't. True, the current theory is that mankind had is start in the continent currently known as Africa, but Africans themselves did not discover America. "Africa" did not exist when man first crossed the bering land bridge. No nations existed at that time and there was no need to classify land masses with names.

the leader of this thread is failing at CT. everyone else is doing a decent job at trying to recover from his horrid attempts.

i really want to lock this... but i'm not, in case someone can actually revive this from the dregs in which it is sitting.

That's way too broad. You can artifically accelerate evolution in a particular species by contriving an experiment that hosts extreme circumstances (IE: a new predator), and then detect in only a few months that, of the few left living in the population, those organisms with a certain color pattern that allows for camouflage constitute almost all the population, even though it started out with numerous color patterns (like the bottleneck effect, genetic drift).
Every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilizations, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every hopeful child, every mother and father, every inventor and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every superstar, every supreme leader, every saint and sinner in the history of our species, lives here on a mote of dust, suspended in a sunbeam.

Lets consider north korea as the new topic. Wth are their intentions with those missiles anyways? Do you think they are doing these tests for reasons of being precautious since there has been a lot of hostility between nations recently? I would like some type of educated talk about this since I really want to know about others opinions.

"I really don't want this to be looked over so I might move this to another thread or maybe someone else could. Moderator I am hinting lol."

Ok, new idea. I will make a topic, and ya'll discuss on that topic. If I see the topic is done for, I will change the topic.

New Topic: How would pixels work in a 5-D environment.

Radiation only propagates correctly in one and three dimensions. You'd have to first figure out what your new "light" would be.
