With this rush of literature being written by everyone, I once again propose the creation of the Literary Corner section, with the proposal of me, Mal, and possibly Observer moderating it. Any takers?

RE: Now Do You Believe?
Moderating has little to do with an interest in the area, but yes, I still want a literature forum and believe it would be a good idea to have one. I don't see why there's a Programming forum which is rarely used while there could be a Literature forum which would seperare Critical Thinking discussions from writing.Comment

Re: RE: Now Do You Believe?
First off, have you ever even read any of them? I'd say they compare fairly well to modern authors of today.Originally posted by Demon_Of_The_Comet...Mal posting his &*#$ stories >_> Last i checked tihs was critical thinking, not literature garbage bin
Second, you said it yourself. This is CT, not the G-Bin. So quit flaming.
Thirdly, once you start writing something better than Mal can produce, post it.
Lastly, to keep on topic, it's a good thing the Literature section is coming. Maybe I'll post something there sometime...

Well, yes, i have read Mals stories, and quite frankly i dont like them. Im sorry my opinion of modern day authors doesnt agree with yours. Secondly, im not flaming, im voicing my opinion that Mals stories suck, should i change my opinion for you? I dont think i should have to, or will, for that matter. Thirdly, like you and i have said, this is critical thinking, ill post my stories in the future IF we get a literature board.

RE: Re: RE: Now Do You Believe?
Mal's stories have a sense of intelligent design that quite frankly Demon, would probably be better than anything you could produce. Now until you actually, WRITE SOMETHING, you have no business saying whose stories are shitty or not.

Arrgh, arguments on literary tallent are as pointless as those of religion. No one is going to stop doing what they want and believing what they believe no matter how well the argument is put forth.
EDIT But I still think mal's stories are okay.He who angers you conquers you. ~Elizabeth KennyComment

i agree with demon, there needs to be a seperate forum for writing. i also agree with demon about the quality of mal's writings, but that's not really the point. even if i dont get anything out of his writing i'm sure he is, and apparently chromer is as well, which i guess makes sense.
"Frank Rizzo, the high school graduate mayor of Philadelphia whose ignorance is surpassed only by those who voted for him."
chromer you have a lot of ego that is in no way justified. you need to take a step back and realize how shitty all the little things that you're proud of are.
you are the sophists that put socrates to death because they were too proud to realize how little they knew.
you are a fucking joke.

RE: Re: RE: Now Do You Believe?
I write because I enjoy writing. I'm sorry if certain people don't like it, but that's their bag. As soon as they see something new, they know not to waste time on it, so no harm no foul.
I've had a quasi successful publishing carreer thus far, though. I've submitted one piece and it was published.
I'm waiting to hear back on two more, at the moment. These three are just paying gigs.
I've also been contacted by a literary journal asking if they could use some of my stories in one of their newsletters.
The point of saying all of the above?
Self-reassurance that I can't possibly suck as much as those guys say =/
Mal
Alright. Start a thread that envokes deep conversation not about religion and I'll be happy to take my writing back a peg. The CT section has been in a slump, and only literary threads (for the most part) have been posted since after the slump began. There is the occasional religious debate, but without the authors, this would be a dead zone. And maybe it should be, judging by the average intelligence of the CT user.Originally posted by Demon_Of_The_CometWe seriously need this, i dont wanna start something (yea i do) but im tired of coming in here and seeing Mal posting his &*#$ stories >_> Last i checked tihs was critical thinking, not literature garbage bin
(That was a stab at DotC, not Fojar)"A new take on the epic fantasy genre... Darkly comic, relatable characters... twisted storyline."
"Readers who prefer tension and romance, Maledictions: The Offering, delivers... As serious YA fiction, I’ll give it five stars out of five. As a novel? Four and a half." - Liz Ellor
My new novel:
Maledictions: The Offering.
