Guess what this Poem means..

hi guys, i wrote this poem a while ago to my g/f just for fun...it's my first poem ever as a matter of fact. can you guys guess what it means...?

The Demon Inside

Can you help me fight this demon inside
It grows stronger when I'm not with you
It loves all the dirty thoughts of you
And that is why I need you

When I'm with you I just fall into your eyes
My mind goes clear, I have nothing to lose
I feel free from it all when I hold you close
Every kiss we make, makes him weak

But at night the demon comes back strong
Turns me into someone I don't like
It feels cold when theres nothing of yourself
Being controlled hurts worse then controlling

Can you help me fight this demon inside
It grows stronger when I'm not with you
It loves all the dirty thoughts of you
And that is why I need you

So stay with me, be my angel
Don't be scared, just hold my hand
Together we can fight this off
And when we do, I'll know
It's true, that I was meant to be with you

You wrote it to a girl you asked out. Either that or you want to marry her. It's like the Beatle's "Help". "Every kiss we make makes him weak." Your desire for love is overcoming your childish lust. "And when we do I know that it's true I was meant to be with you." That's outright obvious.

I like the chorus idea, but it really has a better effect if you add a few more stanzas in there. I have no taste for poetry, though. Literature is my downfall.

If he was fighting drug addiction, why would he be asking the drug to stay with him. It doesn't make much sense, but I like the idea you're coming from.

I really noticed the demon/ angel thing and at first I think it's cliche. But then I noticed that angel only appears once. Symbollic?

Please, all the mods are trying to clean up the CT forums. Write paragraphs or at least entertain as many ideas as you can in one post. No need to up your post count in here (which is mine has barely peaked 200)

yes, it was.

I think this kind of poem is so cliche now. No offense, but I didn't like the refrains, either. It read more like a song than a poem.
