It is my belief that Pornography is a vitalistic essentiality in our superduper modern society. Why? Well, besides the obvious, it also prevents pregnancy (not that having a baby is bad, but..You know, the whole "Overpopulation" thing), STDs, Rape, and god knows what else. So it's very good and important.

I did have a well-drawn statement all thought out about the advantages of Porn, but I forgot it before I could write it all down.

Pornography can induce rape. People see something on their video/whatever, and they just feel that they have to try it. After so much, people will crave the real thing.

With modernism comes amoralism. People are less inclined to do what doesn't benefit them, and so the 'good samaritan' is lost.

Pornagraphy promotes sexuality, and once sexuality is a habit, then those viewers are more inclined to view sex as more normal. Pregnancy goes up, not down.

I believe both points are valid. Regardless of how it may seem to prevent pregancy, it can also promote pre-marital sex, rape, etc. But again I say both perspectives on this topic make logical sense

"the obvious", as omega said, is the only reason porn is good...aside from being a living for a fair amount of people worldwide...people can have pretty good morals (not wanting to rape anyone, or not having pre-marital sex (although i don't fall under the second)), and still be able to live out fantasies, or fulfill a sexual thrill without really doing anything wrong...but basically, the obvious is the good in it...ugly/lonely people can watch porn and feel satisfied...and horny teens don't have to worry about pregnancy, as was stated...in our modern world, sex basically is in close to every facet of our lives...so i already feel the majority of people view sex as normal, especially most people who would be watching porn...

That's not the porno industries fault, it's the persons fault. I'm really sick and tired of people blaming something for someones actions. If there's someone so unmoralistic, and stupid enough to do something just because they seen it on TV, then I think THEY should get banned. (In other words, let the motherfuckers burn in hell or jail, or something bad.)

no....wrong...and i'm sick of people saying that "things will still happen", so we shouldn't worry about it...that's dumb...if someone contradicts me i'll respond...as it is now, i'm tired.

I think Pornography can be a good thing, but only when it is used right. Porn about rape and other highly immoral activities can cause people to actually feel acceptance about the issue, which is completely the wrong direction. Anyone who developes a rape (or otherwise illegal sexual preference) fetish should seek help because wanting to rape some one is not part of a healthy sexuality. But anyone who rapes someone cannot blame porn because it was their decision. And being an avid pornologist (unofficially) i for one am happy with porn. I can take out all my sexual tensions and i dont have to hurt a fat girls feelings by not calling her the next day.

In truth, a higher birthrate is a GOOD thing. Screw overpopulation- that's the South Americans, Muslims, and Chinese (literally). In truth, many countries in the Western world do not have enough babies. The US is on the fringe of losing population, other countries like France are far below the number of babies needed to keep an increasing population. What happens then is that the influx of outsiders to fill the openings brings in a different culture and slowly begins to erradicate your culture. In the US, the Mexicans are threatening our culture; in Europe the Muslims are the invading culture. Anything that raises the birth rate is GOOD, assuming you wish for your culture to survive.

not true, america is overpopulated. Not based on a land to population ratio, but on a waste/energy to population ratio. Americans use so much energy and create so much waste that we would have to be practically sterilzed to even it out. In 3rd world countries there is very little energy usage and waste, but there are larger families to compensate. so America and places like China are equally overpopulated. and i dont think mexicans are threatening american culture. maybe job availability. but not our culture.

America isn't overpopulated on a waste or energy to population ratio. Most third world countries actually produce much more waste/person than we do. They use less efficient processes and create much more waste with less recycling.

Technically, Humans don't pollute enough to hurt on average, but it is the specific areas that need work. However, that just takes time and is NOT directly related to the number of Americans, but to the processes we use. Also, did you just call CHINA a 3rd world country? Besides being in the 2nd world [Asia], China has some places much more modern than America is, and has a much greater population. They have serious pollution issues that make America look like ultra-green liberals. As of yet the US does not have serious problems with energy, but the search for cheap energy for everything is always never ending. Besides, the high power usage is because of the technology people commonly use, and isn't that much higher than other similar countries.

As for the Mexicans, they are. However, the influx of the South American culture is moving from SW to NE, so I doubt it has reached you yet, but it is VERY easy to see when you visit areas in the SW. More importantly, if you look at the number of Americans and immigrants from South America, the immigrants # is growing and the Americans # is on the verge of decreasing.
