Why Americans hate French?

I have read that text and it is FALSE. The french have won WWI and the americans did nothing except sending like 200 men to battle.

Ok.. i was surfing on the net and found this http://www.conservativemonitor.com/opinion03/37.shtml. the guy who wrote this is a total moron. He dosen't know a thing called...hmm whats that again....oh yeah RESPECT (of other cultures). And hes just saying bullshit. OMG just...OMG

He also says that they lost all wars because of stupid reasons. And vietnam war. wtf was that? Just thousands of americans kids getting pwned. Americans won wars that they started at some point, and thats not really better.

I noticed a trend in those who hate the French: they seem to be slow in the brains, and repeat whatever their idiot father says at the dinner table.

It is easy to say that the French are pussies for not going to war when you are sitting safely in your terrorist supporting gas guzzler. Okay, if you are so manly, you go fight.

Common belief is that all french surrendered during WWII, well, ever hear of the French Resistance?

It is true that France wasnt very nice to us after WWII, but to say that American saved their asses? You forget that Russia and Britian too played a major part in the war. Many of the bitterness is because the US didnt decided to get involved until late in the war. And our main focus was on Japan anyways.

Also, remember that America has never had to fight a war on its own turf. So Americans, shut up until you have seen the destructive force that a war firsthand. Spoiled little Bitches (including me).

EDIT: Oh yeah, and a grand total of one million american men died during WWI. That's mostly because they didnt have the good sense to keep their heads down when there's 500 german machine guns just looking for a target, but death nonetheless.

America has fought on its own turf once, during the War of 1812. Got spanked.

Since none of you really understand the scope of the wars you speak of (not to mention the facts involved), I'm just going to sidetrack a history lesson and get to a final point.

It is nationalistic pride which creates the conflict between America and France. Military records are just used to put down the other nation.

France likes to think they are better than America, and America is pissed because they think they are better than France. I do know though, that a lot of European powers are upset at the amazing power the US can wield, which France cannot match..

I really have no hatred of the French, but if you guys are going to sit around and prattle on about it, I might as well throw in my two cents.

Maybe the reason americans hate french is that canadians who lived near french Quebec hated the french people there because they wanted to be different. My grandfather lived in Quebec for a while and said that the french used to sit there with cigarettes in their mouth and say they were better than you. When people like him moved to america, they brought this hatred with them to their children and grandchildren.

Personally, I don't know a single person who actually hates the French. Of course, it's only natural to not be so happy with them after refusing to help us in the whole Iraq fiasco, so there are people who look down on the French.

I despise the French form of government (socialism), but I don't bear resentment towards them for it; that fact's not affecting me. Plus, I don't see any reason to bear irrational hatred towards the French. We're better than they are (Hell, we're America. We're better than everyone). We oughta just not care about them.

the french... i know some french people at school...they're assholes. scrawny...stinky...never bath...greased up hair...and they kinda walk like robots...its kinda strange.
French people living in france also have more leisure time than an average citizen of pretty much any other country.

Guido, ask people who live near french people and aren't french to find people who really do hate the french. Their lifestyle/culture is made up of customs that offend the values of us americans because of our own culture. It has been like this for a while but is being public because of the war in Iraq and how France responded to our problems

And if it hadn't been for the U.s., Britain would have Fallen to Germany, and Russia would have been screwed. and we were involved in most of the war. WWII started in 1939, we became Extremely involved from late 1941-1945. I think the french are idiots because, why would you not be extremely thankful to a country who sent it's young men to die for you and helped rebuild your country?

Yeah i forgot about that point. In 1939, France owned Alrgeria, West Africa, Equatorial Africa and Madagascar.

Sure, France may have had its expansion early on, but after a few trades and sales, it had been confined into a small country in western Europe. It may have been larger, but who's laughing now?

I'm not even a France-hater. I just found the site to be quite comical in its nature and found it relevant to the topic matter. I don't care at all that we changed the name of fries to "freedom" fries or anything. Nobody calls them "French" fries anymore. It's just "Fries".
