There was also the possibility that Belichick wanted the Giants to score as quickly as possible. I personally believe that because he would want as much time as possible for Brady to send the ball upfield. The Patriot player (i don't remember who) who stood over Bradshaw right after, I believe, actually intended to push Bradsaw in, to ensure the maximum amount of time.

Oh, absolutely. Goal #1 for the Pats at that point was to get the football back in Brady's hands. Thing is, if Bradshaw had gotten one knee on the ground (the way MJD did in that video I posted), he would've been down by contact even if someone pushed him forward.

What an intriguing play, huh?

why do people give a shit about some half time entertainment, and why do they even bother? I've never understood this. Maybe it's because I never followed American Football (although I did stay up a couple years back until, like, 3.30am, to watch it just to see what all the fuss is about)

of all pro sports i get american football the least. the rules seem convoluted and it's really stop-start which is frustrating and repetitive to watch for me <_<

That's fair. I happened to grow up watching football, which I think is a big determining factor. I couldn't bear to watch a minute of soccer years ago, but during the 2010 World Cup I finally began to understand the flow of the game, and now it's 100x more enjoyable to me. Any one sport may or may not float your boat. Patience and a little research can help though
