    Love Hina and Onimusha 2

    Ok I heard something weird the other day. For those who are fams of Love Hina the anime will remember the episode when Naru and Keitaro both went to Kyoto for vacation after failiing the Tokyo U exam. The the residents of Hinata Apartments follow them thinkikng they were running away to commit a love pact suicide.(Who does those anymore by the way?) Anyway while Naru and Keitaro run into a girl named Mutsune they have to take her back to Okinawa which is hundereds of miiles from Kyoto. Mutsune is frail and suffers from anemia(for those who know the word) making it impossible for her to travel alone. Anyway here comes thee weird part.Keitaro and company make a wrong turn from Kyoto going east to Nagoya instead of West to Okinawa, Kitsune and Motoko(kendo girl)are also there. Kitsune makes Motoko carve wooden objects with her sword to raise money to follow Keitaro and Naru. I listened to the Englis then I switched to Subtitles heres what they said:

    Kitsune: Hello Everyone! Witness as this 13th Generation warrior who roots trace from Jubei Yagyuu carves things!

    Notoko: Oh great. How can someoe believe my technique was from that weakling Jubei?

    WTF!? Now if I recall Jubei Yagyuu is the person Oda Nobunaga tries to kill in Onimusha 2. I know the Onimusha series is based on real Japanese history but I don't know. Can someone help me Out?

      Hehe, I remember that episode all too well. Even though I don't think they meant that reference on purpose.

          they might be making an allusion...

          basically were they make reference to well known character or thing from some other story...

          Who knows.. it might of just been coinsidence(sp?)..

              if you watch both jubei anime/ read the manga, that should tell you what is going on...

                  Love Hina and Onimusha were not making any sort of reference to eachother.

                  Jubei Yagyu is a legendary Japanese warrior. He shows up everywhere in anime and video games.
