Recommend me a new laptop

My girlfriend spilled powerade on my current laptop and basically destroyed the touchpad. Getting it replaced would cost "at least $100" so I'm considering just buying a new laptop. I'm not exactly sure what to get though so I'm open to suggestions

Requirements:
4 GB RAM+
At least 320 GB hard drive (preferably 500+)
HDMI port (all laptops probably have these anyway)
Must have a FULL keyboard. Number pad and all
Touchpad must have that scrolling side bar on it, if any of you know what I mean.

Graphics doesn't matter. Processor doesn't really matter I guess. It's not something I'll really use for major gaming.

Price Range: Less than $475

Don't really care. I could I guess but it doesn't matter. I have a desktop computer for that. I'd assume it would run fine on anything if you turn the theme to windows classic

I've typically been anti Dell for most of my life. I simply have a preference of HP products. The last 3 computers I've bought were HP computers

Ya, I like HP better, my mom has gotten a dell laptop and dell desktop and my laptop runs a lot better than both of them combined.

HP and Dell are both total garbage. HP the worse of the two. ASUS/MSi/Toshiba make the best laptops in my experience.

I've owned HP/ASUS/MSI laptops, and I must say MSI and ASUS are far ahead of HP in every aspect, even in price.
The only thing I didn't like about MSI laptops is the amount of useless application it comes with. Asides from that, it's p. good.

Hp is good. Don't know why they are hatin'.

This $800 Hp laptop I bought 4 years ago still runs great. Even as far as running quite a few modern games like Deus Ex (HR) and GTA 4.

I agree with the general opinion of Dell though, not a fan of hunting down drivers.
