...while you are playing ffr/sm/etc. It's an urgent call from your boyfriend/girlfriend/parents/boss/super important person.

At the time, you're most likely you're farther than you've ever lasted before on a song that you've spent forever trying to perfect - or maybe you're halfway through a song with a sick PA.

Maybe this has happened to you before. You now have to make the painstaking decision whether to completely abandon the song and reluctantly answer the phone - or leave it and let them keep calling, and then lie to them by make up a lame excuse when you call them back at the end of the song.

I don't pick up the phone, I have had this happen to me on several occasions and I let them all go to voicemail.

Well you wouldn't know if it was urgent unless you picked up the phone. The person on the other end could be in trouble or something. I'm guilty of not answering the phone while playing FFR though. Sometimes I answer, sometimes I don't.

It depends on my goals while playing the game (if I'm trying to FC or AAA a song I've been tackling for a while) or the person calling.

Then again, if your cell phone or house phone is ringing right next to you and you're in the middle of playing, it's kinda hard to shift your eyes to your phone (to see who it is) and then back to the screen without screwing up.

Decisions, decisions lol.

I just make the "I was in the bathroom"/"Misplaced my phone" excuse. Works every time.

Yup, this is what I do. I never pick up my phone in the middle of a song.

I was in the bathroom/misplaced my phone doesn't work for me because I answer my phone in the bathroom and my phone is always with me
