Yeah, Activision wasn't so thrilled about that.

So who owned it then? Some fanboy/troll, or EA Games?

lol that guy is a good troll.Originally posted by ColonThreeI read that the guy purchased the domain name back in early 2009 thinking that MW2 would be a success and to purchase the domain name before Activision did just to mess with them. If this is true then Activision should have to buy said domain name since it was created before they trademarked the Modern Warfare 3 name.Comment

Make it a hardcore porn site. That way when little 12-year-old xbox pudgies look up their next helicopter spamfest, they get bimboes.

Hahaha yes!
Seriously, Activision are bullies, they don't deserve it unless they buy it off the Fe/male who owns it. I would demand so much money if I owned it.Comment

"Cybersquatting, the practice of buying up a domain in order to profit from a trademarked name, is prohibited under the 1999 Anticybersquatting Consumer Protection Act as well as a set of international guidelines called the Uniform Domain-Name Dispute-Resolution Policy. Disputes are usually mediated by the National Arbitration Forum or the U.N.'s World Intellectual Property Organization."
Activision should get the site. Site squatting is illegal for a reason. They aren't being bullies, the person who was cybersquatting and just redirecting to their competition is incredibly douchy.Comment
