Honda-Tech friend needs our help, please read!!

Hey you guys, I know at least some of you own a honda and some of you might even belong to a little forum called honda-tech.com. Well, I know I'm a loyal "techie" and this guy severly needs our help. His house burnt down, ruined 4 cars completely, killed his dog, and he has nothing left at all. We at honda-tech are all taking some sort of donation for this guy. He's the nicest guy in the world and it's the least we can do for him. This thread is just to further outreach that call for help. If any you guys/girls here feel like helping him, please do so by all means. The links below contain his tragic story and the thread to help him out. (2) It's called insurance...he might want to look into it. If he's dumb enough not to have homeowner's insurance, than I see no reason to give some guy I don't know at all my money. If he has insurance, than he sure as hell doesn't need donations.

damn man, i'm sorry my honda isn't as great as your mighty pinto, but you could've just.. not posted? good for a bump i guess. Oh, and insurance will not cover every single thing in your house. i'm sure he has insurance, but if you have EVER dealt with insurance companies before they will low-ball the hell out of you. Since when does homeowner's insurance cover your clothes, personal valuables, YOUR DOG, etc. it doesn't. We're raising money to get them back on their feet, not buy them a new beach condo. This guy AND his whole family lost everything. So next time your house burns down I'll remember not to help "some guy I don't know" (you) out.

Or did you mean that Hondas are shit? In which case you ought to learn some grammar so that you don't sound like an idiot (too late) and invest in a Honda, because they actually are quality cars.

When an electricition (that must be so mispelled) fucked up the wiring on my house and blew out all the stuff plugged in at the time, it took six weeks for the insurance check to come.

So, in the meantime, what do you expect him to do VxDx?

haha, damn if you want VxDx I can make a honda hate thread. You're right about some things, a lot of hondas are real shit. These little civics everyone loves so much get about 106hp stock, the only thing the owners can do is put euro lights on them and hope nobody wants to race, but acura is also honda, and when it comes to compression that's what you need, they're high strung long-lasting engines. There's a reason they never have to make anything over 4 cylinder engines and it's the compression. They also allow for a lot of engine mods, it's just where the market is headed right now. You are talking about ricers, which is precisely what we flame and try to get banned over on h-t. I can think of a lot more cavaliers that are riced worse than most hondas.

He's not mooching :P, like i said we're not buying him a beach condo, just sending him necessities like toothbrushes, clothes, bars of soap. In fact he insisted on no money.

I'm glad to see netty400 has come out of the closet though.. congrats man, lol
