    Yeah well I donwloaded a corrupted file haha. My own fault for not reading the comments, but yeah.

        I have got the Droid X on .591 gingerbread running the Apex rom and loving it. I also have the CRT off animation, several system tweaks, all of the bloat frozen, and netflix working 100%. I also overclocked and undervolted, but I didn't really notice a change so I stopped that. At first modding your phone is scary, but once you do a few changes, it's a piece of cake and you will love the results.

            Quadrant is notorious for being easy to cheat and extremely volatile even for the exact same phones and exact same setups. It's not really a great metric for judging phone performance -- even phones with high Quadrant scores can be demonstrably laggier/clunkier than a low-scorer of the same build.

            Linpack is a decent metric though. I personally clock over 40 with my N1.

                        Yes. I want it to last, and I know a dumbphone would just piss me off more than be useful for me. Plus I want to get into app development, (CS student) so Android was the way to go for me. And I really, really wanted the FM radio

                        I was getting tired of my friends telling me to get a phone and stuff... peer pressure ffs :/
                        But yeah, I'm pretty happy

                                    I only have 100mb of data, so I can't do internet radio away from work or home... and when I'm at work/home, I can just listen to it on my computer anyways.

                                    I went with the cheapest plan for now, see how much it gets me. I'll upgrade my plan if I feel I need more. I have 100 minutes, unlim text, and 100mb data for 40$ (so expensive >.>)

                                        I just upgraded to the Moto Droid 3 from D1. So far it's pretty damn awesome. It has a locked bootloader for now, but Verizon is going to unlock it with an OTA soon
