The video is a little over an hour long, but if you have just 3 minutes, please watch the intro:

I actually have a feeling that my college intended on ripping our students off. We were forced to cut three key programs in our school just to have Ke$ha come to our school... The professors (fortunately not in my major) whom I've come across hardly show any effort to help their students academically, which is extremely frustrating for those who want to build a future.

Wtf is FFR broken? I voted in the poll and was automatically redirected to some old Flight of the Bumblebee thread.

Probably a silly question to ask, but did anyone else get redirected to this thread after voting?

Anyway, I'm already in college at the moment. Can't say too much about it, though, since I've only been in it for a week now.

edit: never mind, wasn't just me.

            It happened to me, too.

Doesn't matter. 'yawn.' We had this discussion not long ago. Personal responsibility is key in going into college. What moron expects a 20,000$ investment to require no insight before taking. ect ect ect.

I'm too lazy to watch the video, but...

People probably think college sucks because of all the expenses, and about 70% of the time they don't use their education to get a good paying job.

I watched the whole hour and 2 minutes...this video just made me regret going to college even more than I did already. Loans are a scary thing. I most likely would have been better off without college.

loans are a horrible thing. the thought of getting so deep into debt is one of the things holding me back from going back to school. though i really want to go to college for the learning experience and not so much because of the money the career i could get from going to college would get me

College educations are investments - there are good ones and bad ones, so not all of them are scams as the video says.
Especially if you graduate from a top-tier university, you're likely to get back your money's worth.

I am glad someone said this because this is how I've felt about my education all along - it's an investment. I'm graduating in 4 weeks from a top ranked university (nationally) that is widely recognized in my future work industry as an institution that produces some of the highest quality graduates around.

If you're not willing to take a risk and make an investment, well, you can only go so far.
