            And btw it certainly is fine that Jousway made this thread. If you think this doesn't deserve to be a thread, don't bother posting because there's a good chance you'll make things worse with that mindset.

                                I don't see people arguing about whether or not a thread should have been made about that.
                                You're going to give this guy shit about making a thread about finding out he has diabetes? Yeah. That's consistent.

                                There is nothing wrong with making a serious thread about something like this. This is Chit-Chat.

                                I also think this thread has more importance than a "Happy Birthday" thread.

                                    Not meaning to take any sides here specifically, but Oni wasn't intending to bash the poster of this thread, nor is your first example what he was referring to as unnecessary. The Happy Birthday ones are, though. He believes, I think, that the concept of making a post in the forum focusing on an individual rather than a group is arrogant. However, I just think he kind of misunderstands the purpose of the forums and the intent of this posting, and I don't think we should be talking about it much more as it may drive him back here and he may continue what I asked him to stop.

                                    Side note: This isn't just to Sprite- or his post, but everyone who's still talking about it.
