Depends. I turned it into a habit to use chopsticks instead of a fork when eating Japanese food.

Anything else I use a fork/spoon.

This really isn't a great poll because you're comparing apples and oranges. Forks and and chopsticks have different uses that don't always intersect. For instance, you'd use chopsticks for rice and noodles, but you don't use it for pie, unlike a fork. If both utensils had more shared applications, it would be a better poll.

I prefer apples because you don't have to peel away the skin to eat it and generally I like the taste of apples more. Another thing that bugs me about Oranges is even if you have the patience to peel away the skin and everything you can't help but get a little messy with the juices so you have to wipe up most of the time. And of course there's always the matter of the skin having to be thrown away at the end. Either that or your oranges next to a trashcan and throw away the skin as you eat it, so I guess from now on I dub oranges the "trashcan fruit".

Also I believe forks and chopsticks have many many shared applications, name one thing chopsticks can do that forks can not. The point is they are both eating utensils but forks overall have the upper hand. If I were in a rice eating contest with an average chopstick user and I was a fork user I bet I would win speed wise. For me it doesn't really matter that other people think of a fork as barbaric, it's way more efficient than chopsticks and I think forks will rule the world one day.

Any time that I eat asian foods I'll use chopsticks, but mostly I use fork at home.
Chopsticks are funny to use though, and if I could eat everything with them I damn well would do it.

you can break chopsticks in the hollow of your neck but you cant with fork

I do sometimes eat thin pizza using chopsticks

I use both, I use forks on Asian food too.

In my opinion, forks are better since you don't really require that much effort to hold food on it.

Forks are more versatile than chopsticks, chopsticks are more fun and you don't have to mutilate your food in the process.

Chopsticks don't really make much sense.
