Gas is pushing 4$ a gallon here, it's gonna suck when I actually start driving, I have no idea how I'm gonna manage enough money to pay for gas all the time, hope my folks will help me out.

Re: Gas Prices
How far on average do each of you drive in an average day anyway?
I work 51 miles away, so that's 102 miles a day if I'm just driving there and back on weekdays, weekends I head to the girlfriends house or to SF so that's up to another 80 miles round trip. Tank of gas strictly going to and from work lasts me 4 days or ~260 miles, 14 gallon tank @ $4.00/gal = $56 every 3.5-4 days.Comment

Re: Gas Prices
Yeah gas is getting unbelievable. My dad said back when he was a teenager it cost .50 cents a gallon. Across the street the normal gas is like $3.95 and the premium is like $4.04.~Comment

Re: Gas Prices
I think you're misunderstanding his/her point. The issues in Libya don't necessarily need US attention, and I don't think C@! was saying that; however, they do need to be solved because they are currently the reason behind what is driving up the price of oil.
Truly, I'm not sure why prices have jumped so much. It's not like Libya is a massive oil producing nation. They're lucky to account for 2% of the world's oil production and with what many countries have in reserve (especially the US), they're pretty much a drop in the bucket as far as that goes.Last edited by foilman8805; 03-8-2011, 07:00 PM.Comment

Look at how much gas cost one-six year(s) ago compared to now.
In Houston from July-August 2008 to December 2008-January 2009, gas went from $3.94/gal ($146.43/barrel) to $1.40/gal ($32.00/barrel). Then shot back up after Obama became President. Maybe we shouldn't have a President.Last edited by DotKritic; 03-8-2011, 07:21 PM.Comment
