That sucks for those who start this week. My school usually starts around the 28th but this year they're pushing it back to Sep. 2nd or something like that.

Lmao, canada is so laid back with schools. Especially since some have 80% counting as an A... O_O

A percent is a percent, we leave it at that.

And the process to get into post-secondary is so much more laid back because there's not as much competition in Canada to get into a "top" Canadian school because the population is so little compared to the US. So, less applicants = less selective. There ARE competitive programs though that do require essays and forms that you have to fill out with EC information and such. I also know of a few programs that require 95% entrance averages.

With that being said the process is a lot less stressful, but you Americans have the opportunity of getting into world-renowned schools. Canadian universities are not comparable to top US schools in terms of prestige, and to get into one as a Canadian student not only do you have to have high marks all throughout high school and achieve excellent SAT scores, (for Harvard, Yale etc.) you need to A) be a world-class athlete or B) have international recognition in an academic competition.

oh school's also a lot cheaper in Canada so whatever :P

School starts on September 22nd for me -- a ****ing Tuesday for some reason.

It's my senior year of college. As such, I'm only taking three classes:

ECON 222 - Macroeconomics
AERO 452 - Spaceflight Dynamics II
AERO 401 (with lab) - Propulsion Systems (rocket science)
