buying manga is around what, $8-15 for an issue that you can read in half an hour. How does that price point make any sense at all? How do you guys justify that, that's what I want to know.

haha, yeah for one part, but my dad likes that i actually have a hobby, just the fact that im overspending on it kind of pisses him off

Parents don't care what the hell I do.

Actually, when the basement flooded-- which has her computer, and the TV-- she sat and watched Howl's Moving Castle with me. It was a dub (that's what I usually watch) and Miyazaki isn't exactly the same thing as, say, Azumanga Daioh. But still.

And rather than buying individual manga, I tend to download them. Only buy if I really like them.

I was wondering, do your parents/siblings get kind of weirded out that you're into anime, including collecting merchandise, buying dvds, reading manga etc.?

I mean parents being unfamiliar with an American culture is one thing but damn a foreign culture?

My siblings are also really into anime and manga, but I think that the wall scrolls I have might weird my parents out a bit, and the figurines with the panties.... and the dating simulator... My god I love Clannad...

Well I would never buy anime, but I have stuff on my computer and they don't care at all.

What's funny is that my girlfriend is japanaese and at their house they have anime posters and stuff all over the walls because even her mom collects stuff

Well i don't need to justify that because i read all my manga's on a online site for free And have you ever read a GOOD manga, if you say naruto or bleach ill kick you so hard.

they usually dont mind if its in english but when i watch the japanese version with subtitles it sounds really weird to them XD i dont really read the mangas though maybe novels once in a while that are related to anime. my brother is a narutard though hes a little crazy..
