Metallica vs Megadeth

First thing if this is suppost to be in another forum section woops. now than.
Megadeth and Metallica are probably two of the most well know metal bands out their, if you know one theirs a good chance you know the other because most people like one and hate the other because of the mustaine thing (look at wiki i don't feel like explaining this) so what i want to know is, from the majority, what is actually the better band, i personally like megadeth better but i just like the sound. I want to know what you like better and why and i don't want to hear anything about mustaine or that stuff. If you don't know either of them i posted a link 2 each of their best songs in my opinion.

Blackened is certainly not Metallica's best song.

Peace Sells is a popular song, but once again, I don't think that song is representative of Megadeth's best work either.

Overall, I am a fan of early Metallica before And Justice For All. I didn't like And Justice at all, or anything that came after that, really. Regarding Megadeth, I'm a fan of their first five studio albums, and I did like The System Has Failed, which they put out in 2004 or 2005, I don't remember the year.

For me, Megadeth > Metallica.

My dad and uncle listens to Metallica never heard of the other band though, I listen to Metallica too sometimes, and they have a new Guitar hero coming out for Metallica so I pick them

Say what you will, but both bands are very much within the same vein. I like both, though I in particular enjoy the mid-80's Metallica. I think a debate over which is better is kind of funny, particularly because of their shared history and similar taste/sound. I know people will whine at me for that, but it's true.

And although I enjoy this stuff, I've really become a fan of talented and disciplined playing, the latter which both bands seem to be particularly lacking. Listen to the solo in One, as gorgeous as it sounds, and you'll notice he was so desperate to play fast that he fudged half the notes.

Ontop of that, one of Megadeth's guitarists is ex-metallica. haha.

I say Metallica is better, because they have more enjoyable to listen to tracks imo. I have all their albums, including S&M (imo one of the best)

Megadeth is pretty good as well, but I find Metallica to be more enjoyable.

Slayer's better than Megadeth imo. and they might retire soon. They have 3 albums left on their contract then they can retire. :O
