Those are the endorphins that are getting released when you do cardio exercises (or a lot of DDR). Even if you take medication for the severe depression, exercise will make you feel better. Don't over-exercise, though, because then you'll just get injured. Since I can't run outside that much during the winter, I bike and play Street Fighter 3 until I burn 500 calories. It works out pretty well
Tip: Eat food of some kind within 15 minutes of the end of your workout. Otherwise, the lactic acid will build up in your muscles and you'll feel "sore" the next day.
